Hello everyone! I wanted to share this awesome opportunity I had at New York Comic Con last weekend because I think you guys will appreciate it. The incredible Mat and Kaori from Square Enix introduced me to Darin and we had a lovely conversation about Ardyn and his other work. He is truly a gracious and generous guy, and I can't wait to see how he explores Ardyn in the final game! I made sure to keep the portion we filmed spoiler free so no worries. I think his enthusiasm speaks volumes about the script and we have a lot to look forward to, I hope you enjoy it:

Well done. I think my oldest two might like your channel, as they both like Final Fantasy and they're moving up the belt ranks.

Is no one gonna bring up those high kicks? I'm gonna be the guy? Not every day you get kung fu and an interview with a FFXV VA, lol.

Thank you! I'd be honored to have them, there aren't enough people who are into both. What martial arts do they practice?

Thank you very much! Honestly I think Final Fantasy and martial arts are very connected, look at many of the characters who practice unarmed combat, and swords and weapons and fighting are a integral part of every game. I try to share that you don't just have to be a "nerd", or a "martial artist", we are all multidimensional and capable of whatever we want, and shouldn't be contained by any definition.

Sorry for the double post..

Awesome is awesome. That's my childhood right there: Final Fantasy and Jean Claude van Damme, lol.

American Kenpo. The school is run by the Tostens - studied under Ed Parker. Myself, I played a little ball in college, but now I'm just a gym rat - sadly no martial arts training. Sabin without Blitz.

Amen, sir. Obviously as Final Fantasy fans, we're resolute people of good moral fiber, but it's only one facet of who we are. My oldest -- the blue belt -- is also autistic, and she's scared of sharing her love of gaming out of fear of being ostracised even more so by her classmates. Kids are cruel, especially with ASD peers. So in whatever way it can, hopefully the content in your channel can reinforce what you said above.

That sounds like an epic childhood, and yup I'm right there with you, hah!

Sabin without blitz isn't so bad! I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and that form of bullying. Honestly even since I was in school it has become so much more mainstream to be into video games and everyone plays them on their phone now, so I would encourage her to be herself. But it's understandable that bullying will always be a problem, that's a big reason why I made the channel, to help people in similar situations, and cultivate art and learning. That's why Darin's enthusiasm stood out to me so much, he is so into his acting and completely doesn't care what others think of it, he just shouts from the rooftops how glad he is to be involved with the project and how wonderful the character is.
