I think I've reached all new heights of being a FF nerd lol

So everyone here knows that the new Zelda game is out by now. It's been marketed to death that you can tame and keep multiple horses.

I named a couple of them after FFXV characters... lol

I named an all white horse Lunafreya and I plan on naming this beastly black one with long red hair Ardyn.

I'm pretty crap at coming up with names and I do like the names in FFXV, so I'll use their names xD

Here's "Lunafreya"

I'm also noticing a lot of FFXV elements have been added into this game too. Won't mention them cuz spoilers but it's nice to see that developers are looking at and playing other developers games to get ideas and inspiration.

In other words they admire one another.

Yet the fans are at each other's throats O_O

Alright no more derailment from me about this. Back to purely FFXV stuff xD

Instead of talking about what we love and giving points on how to possibly improve a project, or later attempts, a good chunk of vocal people rather focus on arguments over the most piety things. FFXV suffered from that a good amount with the car, lack of diversity in playable characters (despite X-2 coming out prior with an all female playable cast), no character development (when clearly there was), game is too easy (yet the person's constantly popping potions every few seconds....okay cool story bruh), and etc. I could go on, but I hope I made my point.

Pretty much.

I mean that's the beauty of the FF series - every game is different and is always trying something new.

If you're a FF fan that's common knowledge, hence why it's hard to compare one game to another. Expecting a new title to have everything a previous one did goes against trying something new and being innovative isn't it?

It's strange seeing fans act so hostile towards one another, and then seeing the directors for different games commenting on and learning from other game directors in a civil way.

You can really see the different mentality there.

I finally got around to the ending of the campaign. I really struggled a lot with the final boss. The fight before I love alot, especially the OST selected. I didn't really appreciate it before because I was so busy focusing on the fight, but afterward I had time to take it in. XV's soundtrack as a whole has really grown on me to be my tied favorite along with VIII's for the series. I hope the Luminous Engine continues to be used for future projects.

Soundtrack is awesome. The 2 featured in the video you shared are some of my favourites. The music in this game is up there with FFVII and FFX for me.

Thing is, I've been listening to the music in this game far more than I have for the other 2 FF games mentioned. I think that's cuz I'm more partial to Yoko Shimomura's composition style.

Ah I see Jubileus. I got the blu-ray OST, and I was very shocked to see just on the normal version there being 96 tracks. Then there's the Piano Collection of the OST and the Special Collection disc (which I read is the songs from other FF games on that disc but don't quote me). Then there's Kingsglaive I have as well. When I sit back and really think about it, FFXV's universe has a crap ton of music. It would make sense that only the music was able to maintain its full 10 years of progress.

if they would make a FF entirely on a city like this i would be alright (kinda like how Yarhnam is to Bloodborne a central "character"); the amount of incredible cities created in the franchise barely explorable is insane: Imsomnia, Tenebrae, Eden/Palompulom, Valhalla...

this needs to stop, this needs to fucking stop.

(the artworks were made for the movie, but my point still stands)

The problem is data space. GTAV is a game in itself with a SINGLE city. Insomnia is a city that is as big as GTAV itself. Even attempting to create even half of the city on disc would be immense work. But that's not the only problem, the assets priority is also much lower than other areas. Insomnia was destroyed, there is nothing left there, only ruins. For us it would be ideal that we can explore such area, but in a developers perspective, that's a grandiose waste of development. It's the same thing with Zanarkand in FFX, it's literally "ruins" and just a really massive waste of space.

Perhaps one day if technology advances enough to make open-world game development more accessible and physical data limits are not a thing... then maybe.

yes, that's why i mentioned the idea to make a FF title centered in a city or region but many fans would be against this idea and would still want the conventional "multiple areas because its an adventure".

the other option would be just creating a part of the city explorable; the problem is that these cities are advertised in promotional material and you can't help to expect them to be at least a bit explorable.

imsomnia and valhalla were my most hyped cities ever... it hurt in the end.

Whyd you show me these pictures, this game not getting completed is a travesty. It shouldve come out as multiple games or extra expansions if disc space was an issue.

the assumption that: its not in the game therefore its imcomplete is ridiculous.

by your logic FFX is incomplete because Zanarkand its not explorable.

the problem is that they advertised the city, especially imsomnia which was basically the only FFXV location we knew for years and it ended up a dark small dungeon.
