Recently beat the third palace. The boss fight was easy, the only thing I disliked from that fight was a bulls*** move that 1 shooted my MC despite him having a persona that nulls physical dmg...BS!!!

Mistakes were redeemed in the second attempt.

Currently in the 6/17.

I am having trouble levelling up the Strength confidant. I need to capture a regent and my party is way above their levels that I end up killing them, doesn't help that you can't get them via fusion & are rare spawns of Mementos/Palace.

I like how the Emperor confidant can be overtheatrical, which is why I wished all dialogues were voiced.

I am not sure if I'm playing smartly or fighting shadows & bosses is not very challenging or punishing.
This is not a complaint, just an observation.

I'm feeling the palaces are a bit too long for my taste, I would have cut down 1 or 2 floors from them.

Emperor confidant is one of the best ones in the game. So freaking funny and overly dramatic.

Yeah the Palaces can be quite long. They get longer later on...

There are different types of Regents right? Catching one isn't enough to complete the Compendium is it? If so... I'm in trouble cuz my party are way too strong atm.

Fortunately there are different regents.

Here is a help fusion list:

Edit: 21:43

My lastest progress:

Men, I did not like my choice of tackling Futaba's Palace in one go. Spent almost three straight hours, three painful hours sitting in a sofa, it was really unconfortable. I liked the puzzles though, particulary the Red & Blue binary code puzzle.

Just sent the calling card the second day after (I have like 22 days left until deadline), stopped there. Tomorrow will conclude the Palace boss fight.

Edit: May 7th, 11:50 AM.
My confidant progess as of 8/11

Found a super beefy exp farming trick that can skyrocket your party levels, here is how you do it (don't have to say that you will overlevel quite fast):

Mementos is directly affected by the weather in reality.
For three days in November (13, 14, 15) and two days in December (8 ,9) Flu Season arrives, which has a chance to inflict "Despair", which will automatically kill any non-boss enemy in three turns, including The Reaper. Defeating The Reaper pays out a hefty 72,000+ EXP everytime, no matter times you do it.

It's recommended that you rank up the Star Confidant to Rank 9 to be able to escape on your first turn in case the Reaper doesn't have Despair and you're not prepared to fight him.

It's quite tempting to say the least.

I'm noticing that some confidants requiere a ridiculous disproportionate rank of social stats to either beginning of continue further, some of them should have requiere 1 rank lower.

Indeed. The gun shop owner requires lvl 4 Guts, a ridiculous amount. To proceed with Makoto at rank 6, I need max lvl charm, which is ridiculous.

There's a reason the gun shop owner is that high.

I've done his story. It makes sense for it to be that high imo.

The majority of the characters are very easy to start, with the exception of one character other than the gun shop owner.

I know some of you guys haven't finished the game yet, but so far, is it shaping up to become your GOTY?

Yeah I know it's still a bit early, but comparing to all the titles you've played that have been release this year... thoughts?

It was a toss up between this and Zelda, but I think Persona 5 is gonna take the cake for me.

Zelda was great, but that forgettable ending and lack of great tracks brought it down for me.

I like the story, characters, music, gameplay and the social simulator for this game. Only "complaint" I have is having to spend time in Mementos. Not my favourite area.

Since it's the only 2017 game that I have bought, then it would be GOTY by default.
If we could consider all games I've played this year then it would probably rank as my #3. Surpassed only by League of Legends (the only MMO that I played consitenly since 2010) and The Last of Us (finally finished the game for the first time last month, it was pretty good).
