A: Tattoo is for male line of the Amiticia. It’s more of the credential of the shield than family crest. Therefore, they get their tattoo when they become one of the shield. Clarus has the same one.

Q: About Ravus.
A: Ardyn said he wasn’t chosen. It means that he was denied by the ring. What Ravus was wishing upon the ring might be revenge, slightly, but Luna comes first to him. He wanted to do something for Luna.

Q: Which one is real Shiva? Hasn’t she been put down?
A: Her meat suit is the big one. You see small ones when you summon her. They’re small because her meat suit has been put down. What are small ones or what is Gentiana are still confidential. (???)

I honestly can't see how they'd fit that into Episode Ignis, but Episode Prompto surprised me in more ways than one so I'll wait and see if this goes into detail in December.

Lol meat suit... That made me laugh. I admit the first time I read this I was like... Wah?

As for Gentiana and the smaller Shiva I'm hoping this will be explained in either Episode Ignis or an update further down the line.

More stuff on Gentiana and the Astrals overall please Square.

Any inquiries about the magic system? Surely I'm not the only one who believes that needs to be totally revamped. Doesn't seem to be a priority for the dev team from what I'm reading.

Nothing about the magic system at the moment, probably because the reception of the system seens to be just fine, thus not in the dev team priorities.

How would you like it be improved upon?

I'm a heavy magic user so any insights would be great since I'd be pretty happy if they added more stuff in.

God if they could make Kingsglaive playable/a true chapter zero, that could be a dream come true. I find it sad we couldn't ever fight Glauca.

I'm glad the dev team has the guts to acknowledge their faults about the story. The idea that the majority of the team is working hard on expanding the game is amazing. Hopefully we get there some day.

I'd prefer it if we could somehow play Glauca. He didn't seem like a true villain to me. Now Lazarus, that's someone I'd love to be a boss fight.

Ironically Tabata did say that the first map he would want to expand is an explorable Insomnia if he were given the opportunity.

Stop dont hype me haha. I am excited but reserved for what they have coming for gamescom. Since Episode Ignis is almost 6 months away, I wonder what big news they have planned.


Edit: I wonder what they meant by this: "Nyx in the PS4 (under development now)! It’s so beautiful, could be more beautiful than the movie. CPU in PS4 cannot handle Nyx’s motions because it’s too fast. It might be delivered if CPU got better like the next generation…?"

They give us a CG picture of Nyx from the movie but say something is under development. Are they actually finally implementing him into the game like some of us are thinking? It would be nice to actually be able to take out your anger on Glauca in game for what he did. Hell, I'd love if he survived and they could actually add a pretty significant scene with him towards the end of the game where Noctis kills him.

It's mainly a pet peeve if I'm being honest. I just am not fond of the whole "magic is an item" thing. If there's one thing Versus did I prefer over XV, it's that its magic system was taken straight from Kingdom Hearts which was more traditional. It did not need to be conjured from pseudo-chemisty or artifacts (Ring of the Lucii). Elemancy also lacks variety. It's just an AOE attack everytime with little difference in appearance between elements. I would love it if could at least be used in difference ways. Like imbuing Gladio's sword with elemental properties like a Mystic Knight. Or see Promoto able to shoot long range magic like a Fusilier. Perhaps using Elemancy on the bullets he uses. Overall, the magic system in Final Fantasy XV just seems like a massive step backwards to me. Which is a shame because the dynamic nature of the game allows for so much more. Especially with magic and its potential uses.

I disagree. All of the variety that you seek means nothing if it isn't useful in the end game. There have been multiple FF mainline titles where most magic would become useless in more difficult situations simply because the enemy would absorb it/be immune to it. In FFVIII, magic was more of a supportive means of boosting stats than actually being used by time the end game came around. Yes, while there are only 3 elements of magic, they can be turned into hybrid magic by either possibly casting a debuff on the enemy, or healing a party member. Since magic can interact with the environment in this title, that does add some means of strategy that wasn't present in a lot of the past FF mainline titles. The variety is there, even if it isn't your cup of tea variety.
