I joked about this being what was shown... honestly, after the poor sales of the XIII saga, why would they think it's a safe idea to release the games again like this...? Spend your resources on your new games Square Enix, are you fucking insane?

Well dissipointed yes. But oh well. Even if we did get a release window or something prob still would have had to wait for a year or so. Though does make sense if this part of the interview is right he did say all would be revealed at Tokyo. Or something along the lines of that.

One thing for certain is that nobody should take what Hashimoto says too literally. You really can't believe that after 8 years, things are going just fine.

I admit it. I was wrong. It's a shame. Hopefully they do something big for 15 and KH3 in TGS 2014.
With this and KH3 and Batman: Arkham Knight delay further, all I have for this year is one game again. Xillia 2.

EDIT: On a lot of sites people are rubbing it in and trolling people about this. I hope that won't happen here.

Many people do, that's what led to the excitement for this E3. Of course, we know how that ended up.
Yep. People thought Square Enix was finally starting to turn that corner. Nothing wrong being optimistic like that but the reality is this game has management issues and resources are being wasted. There is intense pressure to deliver a blockbuster experience and things are just not coming together. If Nomura could truly handle what is most likely now a cost-overrun project, there wouldn't be a need to add a co-director this late in the game.

Ports and remastered games are cheaper and faster to make. They don't require a lot of resources.

They do this because the big games people want take a while to make. They take up a lot of internal resources and cost a ton of money. This means a company's output will decrease.

If you want those games with amazing next generation looking visuals, you have to be patience. In the meantime, enjoy the remastered stuff!

Square Enix is not the only company doing this. Sony is doing it too for the same reasons.
