Adventure mode looks really fun to play. I like that progression-unlock kinda thing in games.

Feel like Malon is looking slim now. With the cuccos in the game, I feel like they could have been a Malon move

Not sure if it's a day one for me but I do want it down the road.

I will admit, I will be a bit disappointed if that's all the characters. I like the characters available so far and have no problem with any of them. But they're going to be missing some notable ones like Agahnim, Skull Kid, Nabooru and Groose to name a few. Not to mention all the characters from the handheld games. I'd hate for this to be the only Hyrule Warriors game we get knowing that there are still a ton of cool characters to work with.

I can't help to think we'll get DLC with more characters and stages or Nintendo will do something with Amiibo figures.

I sure hope they don't tie DLC characters to amiibo and overcharge for them. Amiibo is a great idea for kids, but I certainly don't want to have to end up buying toy figures to get extra characters in my games...

People say that Valvga will be playable, and he's not on the character select screen, so it could be as you said earlier - a separate page for villains with more of them to come, leaving still 3 slots for heroes. I sure hope so anyway.

I really can't understand why this game is so centred on OOT, TP and SS - it really really needs to spread the love for many of us who grew up on the older games and love the handheld games too.

I don't want to complain too much either - I am thankful we're getting something like this, but it's leaving still a lot to be desired.

I guess there is the possibility that it will get a sequel or... even some Ultimate Complete Edition in the future with more characters... This IS a Warriors game after all.

Still looks quite interesting. I remember playing Dynasty Warriors for hours one back in High School as it was somewhat of a guilty pleasure of mine. May give this a spin for nostalgia's sake at the very least.

There is also the main villain Cia too, which I forgot about. Hasn't been confirmed to be playable yet but surely she is.

Somebody in the know - do DW games typically have HIDDEN characters? Unlockable ones? They also seem to be cagey on weapons - if you listen to the phrasing in the direct, it sounds like there'll be more weapon permeations, so I expect characters like Ganondorf to have multiple weapons as Link and Zelda do... so there's that, but I wonder what else..

Well if they do have unlockables, I sure as shit hope Koei has told Nintendo to STFU about them. The way they simply blurt out which characters are unlockable in games like SM3DW, MK8 and Smash Bros in the past year has really grated me to no end. Just please leave some damn surprises for us for once!

I'd expect others like Ganondorf to have other weapon sets like the others, too.

The western release comes out in September so if there are secret characters, we'll know about them from the Japanese release.

It'd be nice though. Those last three spots could be characters they won't reveal.

Not sure who gets Skyward Sword DLC but all these will most likely be available to download at some point anyway. Retailer exclusive DLC stuff is stupid.

So instead of me purchasing all three sets and Nintendo getting more money, I'll only buy one set and they won't get as much money. Makes sense.

These retailers must pay big for such anti-consumer practices to go ahead.

They likely will all pop up on eShop eventually, but this is just such a bad practice. Can't believe Nintendo is also stooping so low now.
