Hello everyone, there's been a roller coaster ride for fans with this title ever since it's Versus XIII days. Fans having mixed reactions that change over new information and then again once there is a drought of news, well now the latest outbreak of news seem to have come from a string of interviews following the TGS 2014 show. Nomura was replaced with Tabata, then news of a demo, many concerns of Auto battle, confirmation of only controlling Noctis, Manual modes shown in a patent, and lately the talk show with Tabata giving more details on the battle system and how it works. Through this people have shown mixed reactions, including myself.

My feeling on the situation is, I was very upset of auto gameplay only and there being no option to play as other team member's, as well it being confirmed there's is no females and the cast most likely be the guys with no diversity. Well I have gotten over that moment of being upset. I've been enjoying Tales Series, which I've recently been getting more into (though I was a fan since the day Tales of Vesperia was announced for Xbox 360 and my first game is Tales of the Abyss). With each game featuring interesting and likable character's through an artwork style I love and also each title of Tales have the ability to fully control your party such as party leader on the map and in battle, so I love this option about that series. So since I've become more attached to Tales Series, I feel no need to be upset over FFXV. Tales fulfill my needs for character switching etc and Final Fantasy fulfill others things etc.

In a talk show Tabata was questioned about the gameplay and he gave some pretty nice answers so I am no longer worried about the gameplay to much either and it sounds like it could be fun. I always said I would give the game a chance at least, but I've changed that attitude to I will give it a chance because I want too.

Overall I am okay with the game again, I would like to play FFXV as well too and look forwards to more updates from Sqaure Enix. So what are you currently feeling about Final Fantasy XV, Love it, hate it, everything in between??? Everyone should be free to express their feeling of likes and even dislikes, so please respect each other. Thank you for reading all this. :)

I'm still on board. There's been some worries. But I want a good RPG and I think 15 and Type-0 are it. I'll be getting them and hopefully soon. I hope 16 is great too. We need more JRPGs and we need them fast. Can't let RPGs die. And I'm tired of playing WRPGs (which are usually bleaker and less colorful). FFXV isn't exactly what I want but it still seems like a dire EPIC deep story with decent characters. If it's even 70% as fun as KH games or FF7, and I think it will be, I'll be a satisfied customer.

I am very excited for the game and still waiting with passion and love, most of the game complains are just trivial/nitpicking at best.
What`s the problem of not being females in the party or being full male ?(since when a male:female ratio =diversity, rather than the characters itself?)
Not so many complains with the battle system, because as described by Tabata it isnt full-auto and still have some manual action, like Tales of games for example.
While it could have been cool playing the other characters i still like playing with single character, as long as we can interact with them in some way(either in battle or outside of it) its enough for me. There examples of rpgs that have 1 playable character and can still be good games.
Overall as you could guess i`m still excited, battle system looks funny,setting/world/lore of XV is promising and the best part; the game is not trying to be a carbon copy(in the most part) of past games.

Actually, much more excited than when they finally confirmed Noctis as the only playable character. I guess I just have to forget the 2011 trailer and revert to a time before it, when Noctis was assumed to be the only character, even if I still hate it.

Regarding the battle system, I'm as well more warmed-up to it, since it looks just like E3 and I really doubt it's going to be a boring or an easy game.

The button thing still worries me a little, but it looks like you can either smash the button or hold it and that will have different results and combos, so until I play it I can't say, but it definitively looks interesting. If someone can clarify this up thanks, since I have been busy lately and I'm not sure about it.

And yeah, I knew I had to let time pass to be genuinely excited again. Maybe not as much as before, but still really excited and, for the first time I believe, confident that they have a game in mind and not just a bunch of different ambitious concepts. The fact that they supposedly haven't changed the story, world, characters... is also very reassuring. I don't expect this to be a masterpiece in that regard (or in any), but it's nice that Nomura and Nojima's take on this is still there, as well as most gameplay concepts.

So yup, all the butthurt gone, only dreams now.

When I played Type-0's JPN demo I found you had the option to hold the attack button on tap in as you saw fit. If you tapped it you could cut the combo right away and so something else mid-combo. So I'm guessing it'll be like that. If you want to press buttons instead of holding them, you can.

Yeah, I'm imagining something like that (I stopped playing Type-0 about five hours in). I also imagine that, for example, to go from Fire to Firaga you'll need to keep holding the button rather than pressing it. That'd be nice and fast.

What I've read regarding attacks is that if you hold the button you'll keep hitting the enemies while changing the weapons you have in your deck, while if you press the button, you'll keep fighting with only one weapon (I presume the main one as Tabata said).

But again, I haven't been paying much attention so... I'll watch the translated video whenever I can, sure.

I'm actually even more excited for this after all the TGS info. I'm ok with only controlling Noctis, I like what we know about the battles and the control scheme so far, and overall it just looks more like a real game than it ever did at E3 2013 or before.

The only thing that could make me more excited about the game is if the explained key things like skill/spell trees. Or how you get new abilities if not by leveling up (or as I call it, training). But I guess that's gonna be covered in November or December. Maybe. Or maybe one of those dates will be for more info on characters like Luna or the villains. If the enemies are based off of the classes of old, when I guess it's gonna be like FF12 and 10 where it's up to us to properly set up or "build" our character to fit what class we want them to be as. For example making Gladio the healer (lol) would only happen if we select those spells and skills to up his stats in that method or learn healing spells. I haven't seen any healing at all, not even with items in what we've seen. What if the game is more survivor-like and you only full heal in town inns. The rest of the time cure and potion stuff only give small amounts back. Recently this has been a trend to make games harder and force players to not just spam healing or overstock on items, but focus on properly equiping and building your characters.

I feel it is a long overdue game that we will have to realistically temper our expectations for.

Everything that has come out since TGS last month has left me a bit wary, to be honest. No, I'm not that bothered about Noctis being the only playable character, as much as I may have wanted to indulge in some badassery as Cor Leonis, but more generally, I'm just wondering how compromised a product FFXV may end up upon release. I know, I know. There's not much concrete substantive basis to come to the confident assertion that there is a compromise of vision, but it's a legitimate suspicion to make with Nomura's departure, and on supposedly "negative" reasons. I know one definite thing; this game will disappoint a significant segment of the fanbase because they will continue to clutch onto lofty expectations that a game having suffered a very probable hellish development history can never hope to fulfill.

It's looking considerably better than the 2011 Versus trailer; I was never enamoured with the hack-and-slash combat featured a few years ago, nor was I impressed when I saw Noctis hop onto a turret like some low-grade C-tier action game developed a couple of generations ago. The combat...that remains to be seen. There is potential in a combat system that relies more on preparation and pre-battle strategising that can decide the fate of certain encounters. It's worked very well in WRPGs like Divinity: Original Sin, and I'd like FFXV to be an intriguing take on the Gambit system that differentiates it from Kingdom Hearts and typical hack-and-slashers. So on that, I'm sceptical, but I can smell the promise. On more positive notes, I do like the world they've shown, what little of it anyhow. Go head to head with Xenoblade Chronicles X? Hell, yes. Dungeons with tougher mobs? Great. Re-imagined takes on old, classic Final Fantasy monsters? I approve. Camping after the day is done to accentuate the feeling of a bros trip? Why the heck not?

Still excited for it. Sure it isn't Versus or whatever, but so what? shit happens. I move on fast and want to give the game just as much a chance as before. They're certainly not lazing about or have lead me to believe they are. The talk show has further instilled confidence in that and made me pretty hyped for the battle system. I'm glad they've turned the talk shows into a monthly thing, as well.

i don't like it right now, this is not the final product and alot of things can change, i get it. but right now without switch characters or a system where there is no intelligent commands to put a character in a precise position to wait or keep attacking does not seem right, I'm not a conformist, I want the game I've been seeing these last eight years or the equivalent of that or i won't buy this game.

Well even if you cant switch characters now, the game is still equivalent of what we have seen these last eight years. ActionRPG is still a thing, Dinamic Combat ala FFVIIAC, changing weapons during battle, Open world, Kingdoms battling for a crystal is still there. Also who knows, its possible that we may enjoy the games as much as if it were like before the changes.

nope, when i speak about equivalent i am talking about if they cannot give us switch character, give us something else. The equivalent of that could be intellingent commands, something like...pause screen, select character prompto to a position and give him the command to attack that behemoth from behind, that is how ME or dragon age works, that is very useful in a arpg, you party member cannot kill your monster or something else, they did not talk so much about commands but i have read in a interview that we going to give them commands in menu and i hope that those commands are something like that... commands are very important in an ARPG.

i can give you another example, now remenber final fantasy XIII versus trailer, the person who did the video used prompto to attack a monster on the air and if you still remenber Prompto use his gun on a kind of explosive tank and exploded on the behemoth, how can we call this action? strategy and useful party member. where is the equivalent of that action right now? we do not know because they did not speak enough about commands and this is the reason that i do not like it at the moment and i prefer XIII versus with bad graphics but i say it at the moment because we need to know enough before to say " it's going to be like that and i hate it :kefkalol:".

pd: i hope that you can understand my post i am latin :chocowalk:
