What if it's the release date? And if it did, there's a great chance it'll be a late 2015 or early 2016 release. But if they announce the release date at E3, it's likely the release date is on mid/late 2016.

They're just gonna show off the games controls and stuff, if they show anything more that's new, it won't be the release date. They definitely will announce a release date at E3 this year, but no sooner.

You know, I wouldn't be so sure on those either... Remember the game (probably) isn't even coming this year. Plus, even if they did announce it so far away, I wouldn't count on it being the final date.

They will announce a release window at E3 at the very least. Release windows are announced at times an entire year in advance, that could be anything from a season with a year to even just a year. So, unless FFXV isn't coming out until 2017, we will hear some release window from E3.

As for it being at the end of the demo... no... Like you said, they're not just gonna announce something that BIG in a random small time live stream, and they're not going to put it in the demo either because the purpose of announcing the release date is to tell the entire world. Of course, the internet would report on it, but then what's point of E3?

We won't get a release date from the demo, or at this ATR. It will be at E3, and it's likely just going to be something like "Q? 2016" or something like that, no specific date.

Imo they'll probably only give a vague 2016 at E3 and later in the year they'll make a seperate announcement video as for XIII:

LOL wow this video is really upselling this game... notice how they only show Pulse, the open fields and stuff for gameplay and they really sell the game as being this amazing experience... I'm glad we're not getting that from XV, everything is honest. They sold XIII like it was the best game ever made... and it was crap.

I really hope XV doesn't get a trailer like that. That was probably the most pretentious trailer I've seen.
I agree, I hate how facetious and pretentious it is. I want a proper honest trailer for XV. A game should be able to speak for itself, XV up until now has done just that, and I think it will continue to do that.
