Hiroki Chiba is director, Shinji Hashimoto is producer.

In addition to being one of the two character designers, Tetsuya Nomura is serving as creative producer on World of Final Fantasy. It has also been revealed Masashi Hamauzu is composing.

OK so the twins of world of final fantasy correct names are
Ran and Ren.
they transform into Purimero form (they get super small and cute) and
their nomal size is called Oobito (big people) by the citizens of Grimoire.

ahhh i get it, they look normal sized from their own world, and shrink because thats this worlds norm, i noticed NPCs in town in the trailer look small too, not just monsters. so that explains the switch other than you get smaller so so you can jump on monsters..

so excited, another FF game, its open world too and with a story. thats good enough :)

I wonder how many would reacr if a mailine FF goes with this game aesthetic ?
I imagine it would be similar to the reaction to Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker received when it was first revealed (It's not dark and gritty and mature enough!!). Yet, WW turned out to be one the best Zelda games ever made.

RPG Site: In the trailer, it looks like you can switch between very cute characters and the more realistic ones. Can you explain how we'll switch in game?

Chiba: Yes, you can switch between the smaller characters and a more realistic appearance whenever you like in the game. We decided to implement that into the game because if it was only the cute characters, existing fans of the franchise wouldn't be able to identify themselves with it at all. So, we went to Mr. Nomura to consult with him on the (more realistic) designs for the two main characters as seen in the trailer.
Underlined for emphasis. Welcome news. Though I have no problem with the chibi characters, I'm glad they are adding the size change element so that more people will give this game a chance.

I do think their choices for a platform seem a little odd though. PS4 is all right but the Vita has a stigma of being an "otaku console" in Japan which make it seem at odds with the audience they're going for.
I think their reasoning makes a lot of sense. And really, what other platforms would you put it on?

I agree, PS4 makes perfect sense where they're coming from. Me personally, I'd put it out on the 3DS, since that is a device with an existing clientele and may be the better choice for targeting the youth. At least, if I were a parent, I'd get my kids the console they can play Pokémon on and not Moero Chronicle. But I think they chose the Vita for the communication between the "home device" and the "away device" - putting it out on PS4 and 3DS makes no sense in the system they're aiming to provide.

They're almost done with 3DS to be fair.
