Sora....... Sincerely, I don't know what else I can say to you. It looks like you're always looking for a reason to pick on everybody who doesn't think or agree with you on something, calling people "haters" because they share an opinion you don't like or saying that someone was "celebrating" something just because an observation was given. Truth be told, little one, I don't enjoy talking to you. I did at first, but your opinions and reactions tend to be just too childish, explosive and without enough thinking to maintain an interesting conversation.

So, if you think I --or anyone else for that matter-- was trashing those mobiles games, celebrating over their corpses or doing anything of that sort, okay, keep thinking that if it makes you happy. But as a man on my 30s who's trying to enjoy a forum where one of the main topics is a franchise I love, the only thing I can tell you is: go outside, take some fresh air, drink some milk, learn to think thoughtfully before letting your passion take the best of you and write/talk nonsense, and then come talk to me again. Before that, please little one, just try not to make a mess (again) here. I'd be grateful of that.

Over and out.

PS: I'm sorry, mods, but I couldn't avoid it anymore. He's been to my throat lately, I'm still not sure why.
Then why do you? I honestly don't give a shit what you think of me.

Forum filled with mobile haters whatever way you look at it. And mobile haters have to get over it. Record Keeper made Square over 16 billion yen before it even released in English. Even the guy who runs this site is addicted to it.

Square Enix has 3 divisions dedicated to mobile games and almost all other divisions make mobile games, only one that doesn't makes arcade games. Even Kitase, Tabata, Ito & Nomura actively make mobile games. Mahahahaha.

Sora, you need to learn the difference between hating something and not caring about something. I don't sit on my desk in front of my computer waiting for news that a mobile game was cancelled then laugh maniacally over it. Square is making tons of money out of their mobile games? Good for them, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna play them. Right now I use my phone only for social media apps, calling, texting, web surfing; and frankly my dying battery has enough with that.

If someone didn't care about something they wouldn't post about it. Fact.

I'll be here all day. :p

Already have, I just like laughing at mobile game haters. :p
If you have, then why do you feel the need to reply to them in the first place? If it was not a problem then why do you have to try and rub stats and figures in peoples faces along with a clearly mocking laugh? The only thing this type of reply serves to do, is start arguments.

If you sat there and thought to yourself, "well i disagree" and continued about your business, then people might not have such a negative perception of you. But instead you clearly get bothered by an opinion you don't like, and seem to be incapable of keeping your displeasure to yourself.

Of course, but you don't see me calling FFXIV boring and voicing my displeasure of it everywhere.
That's probably because XIV is almost never brought up here. You, of course, like to constantly bring up topics about stuff many people are inclined to dislike (Like Toriyama, the XIII series, and mobile games).

It actually is. I put XIV in and quickly grew bored. Great art direction but other than that it's sooo boring. No wonder the active subscription numbers are low. Would rather play Record Keeper any day.

How far did you even get into the actual game? It sounds like you haven't even actually played it. The active subscription numbers for XIV aren't low whatsoever. The game is doing incredibly well, WoW's subscriber numbers have been falling progressively more so all the time. XIV is pulling in a lot of numbers from WoW especially, no other MMO can hold a candle to XIV outside of WoW.

XIV actually just recently launched in Korea and did surprisingly really well, given that Korea is flooded with MMOs. It just goes to show that it truly is a good game that keeps people coming back.

I'd love to hear how far you got into the game, if you remember your character name or perhaps what level you got to that would help so I can have a better understanding as to what might have put you off from the game as it can be a little slow to pick up if you are not patient.

However, to describe its playability to a mobile game like Record Keeper means you are looking at its content completely wrong. An MMO is a time sink much like a mobile game, however it drives a completely different type of play style. Usually one with a social aspect as well as long grinds and a driving narrative to keep you moving through and progressing. Even still, you don't need to be sociable in a game like XIV which is why it keeps as many subscribers as it does, the amount of content you can do by yourself is refreshing and keeps the game accessible to a wide audience.

This, of course, is all my opinion. I am heavily invested in XIV, so of course I'm bias to it, having been a subscriber since launch and played for over 300 days worth of actual logged game time as well as paying to fly out to Vegas to the fan festival... you can say I am very much invested.

One thing I will say though, is I recognize that somethings just aren't for everyone.

Please give me the active subscription numbers then. I heard a number earlier in the year for FFXI, XIV & DQX combined and it wasn't very good.

I'm not comparing its playability to Record Keeper. Simply saying it's a lot more enjoyable to me.

I tried during phase 3 of the beta back in 2013 and got bored there and tried again this year since it's price has dropped to only $5 in Australia of all places and got bored again.

And yes, you've pointed out the issue. I don't want to spend 1000 hours on a game. If other people do like that, more power to you. But I like to actually finish games and not feel like I'm going through fetch quests for 10 hours to get one cutscene.
