So much information is getting revealed for FFXV. Is it time to go on a media blackout? I think it is I already got the entire first chapter spoiled by game informer, I'm not going to look at any more new info regarding this game. Yes it's going to be hard but I think it will be worth it. So are you going on a media blackout? If not why?

If you're going to, yes. Now is the time. I, personally, am not fooling myself. I'm not going anywhere. But if you have the strength and the desire to not be spoiled, now is the time. The longer you wait, the higher your chances are of being spoiled. If you haven't read the GI article, expect everything that's in it to be talked about on the 'net like it's all common knowledge.

Now, that said, I don't think there will be much more for a while because that chapter 1 seems to be the source of the vast majority of the info that's out there, and I don't expect that to change any time soon, with the exception of the anime and the movie, etc, which we're supposed to watch before the game. But, there's always the risk, and I'd say from here on out, it should be considered basically orange alert status.

Yes I think it's maybe time after game informer event. This month, I just want to see little gameplay footage that Game informer must show, after it's done !
Thanks to game informer, we know trailers are about chapter 1, and this promo was a good idea ! I will ask if the next trailers spoil a lot, but I will try to not see them ! To help me, I hope that there will be trailers about KH3 and FF7 ^^

I want to be the september 30th tomorrow T.T

So glad I didn't look at game informer. But yeah, I started my personal blackout right after the first episode of brotherhood.

I think Brotherhood and Kingsglaive are both intended to be watched before the game. They're not spoilers, they're there to set the table.

I might do this as well, but I do want to look over the Game Informer issue. Come to think of it, I haven't gotten and issue of GI in the mail in quite a while it seems like. I definitely still have a subscription...

No. I'll be picky with the info I search for, but I'm not really going to go on a media blackout until story spoilers start popping up everywhere when the game gets released.

I voted for yes, but I'll probably still watch some of the bigger trailers that might come out (like E3, TGS, etc) since trailers usually just show context-less snippets instead of detailing everything. But yeah, gonna stay away from gameplay videos, articles, and the like. Gonna stop reading these threads too pretty soon... Well, the more (potentially) spoiler-y ones at least.

It really just depends on what you consider a spoiler honestly. Everything they have shown us so far is only from the first chapter. This game is really freaking big. We have barely scratched the surface really. If you consider basic information a spoiler than I would say stay away from FFXV news for a while. I however will absorb every bit of info and footage they throw at me.
