Or-Diabolous.I-always-figured-that-because-of-the-reaper-worship-thing-and-dark-atmosphere-that-their-summon-was-diabolous.Especially-since-the-Cosmogony-Mural-from-FFXVED
Yes Diabolos is a real posibility as well, however that wingtip behind the skull figure looks like it belongs to Bahamut to me. The whole thing around Lucis and Insomnia is just bizarre though. Just why did Tabata say the reaper motif was gone? Was it really a mistranslation, or continuing in the line of the strange mysterious PR that led to how they revealed Stella had ben removed, and all the other changes. I wonder if they will show a recut Kingsglaive trailer that might reveal one of those (reaper) statues seen near the destroyed bridge in the
Duscae artwork for Insomnia....

I was just thinking again about the whole Lucian culture thing and how it is really mysterious now since Tabata said the Versus stuff was gone, and with the new speculation about Insomnia's summon maybe being Doomtrain, I got to thinking we havn't seen the Lucian crest since Nomura left..Is it still a skull? and then I found this!

Is that maybe the Lucian crest on the left?!?! Maybe more evidence the darkness/dark themes we have been missing from the trailers:)

Edit: Actually, I looked at it a bit more closely. That appears to be Bahamut (Nifleheim) behind so then definitely the foreground is Hades or Doomtrain or something (Lucis) in the foreground. I wonder why this image didn't get more commentary by the board when it was shown...it sort of seems to imply death (or death worship?) is still a big theme in Lucis...1 point to team #VersusLives

Edit2: Also, I just want to mention I really like the sprite representations of all the characters on the right, they look like they are Final Fantasy characters :p
About the wing you mentioned. I think that is actually an eagle or possibly a phoenix. Gladio's tattoo looks exactly like that bird on the emblem. Not sure what kind of bird that is for sure though. I think it definitely has something to do with the Lucis sigil.

Now that kind of makes a lot of sense. I think though the way he said it, many people think that the reapers themselves are gone as well, and are therefore surprised when seeing things like this.

The wing part I was talking about is that raptor-like dragon/batwing tip(hence thinking Bahamut) that is mostly obscured by the skull. That is why I was thinking it looks like Nifleheim and Lucis are being represented here!

was reading this old interview with Nomura, it's basically what Tabata said many times.

“I don’t like the extreme cases of tech or magic,” says Nomura. “If I choose, I choose a modern setting — but that’s not a good setting for a game. So if you look at FFXV it starts in a very modern world similar to Shinjuku (in downtown Tokyo), but when the story starts, you go to the medieval world — but the weapons they are using are high tech-weapons; that kind of combo is what I like.”

As with every Final Fantasy title, there’s really no lean toward extreme high or low fantasy – there’s always been this sort of mixture. For some titles, there’s been a lean to one side or the other – such as the sci-fi style of FFXIII or the medieval style of FFXI and XIV – but for Nomura, when he plays games he says he “can’t be emotionally involved if the game starts in an imaginary fantasy world” so he wants to start out in a modern world and then branch out to fantasy elements from there.
Interestingly, Tabata has repeated many things Nomura once said when it was his game. Most recently in this 4Gamer interview:

Referring to open world gameplay and summons:
T:
Still, I wanted to share with the team that the technology we implement in the game and the perfectness of the contents are different things to be considered. I was looking for an example, and I found “Shadow of the Colossus.” When I showed that to the team, they understood. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making fun of “Shadow of the Colossus.” I respect the game so I used as the example.
And this was from a (2013 I think) Famitsu interview:
"First of all, players will be able to ride monsters, such as Behemoths and large bosses in order to reach their weak points"

It has feathers though. you can even see the beak of the bird. Look closely. That sigil was in the 2011 Versus XIII trailer too. Skip to 2:17 and look at the top of Regis' throne.

Oh, well done, that does look like the sigil on the throne! I had wondered if we had seen the iPhone image before. Funny that Ive scoured that trailer on a number of occasions recently because of Kingsglaive and this thread and never noticed that. It looks like we have proof that's still the Lucian sigil. Speaking of the throne, the chair that Noctis is sitting on in my avi is obviously not the Lucian throne, inspite the fact many of us over the years have referred to images of Noctis sitting on the throne. I believe all of those images are of this chair...

Check this out. I think I may have figured out that the Astral for Lucis is Diabolos. The reason I think so is because of it's elongated chin. Looks very similar to the emblem face. What do you think. It also makes sense being that Diabolos is asociated with darkness/black and evil. He may even be associated with space in FFXV given that the cosmos, stars and moon seem to be important.

Space would make sense, with Gravity being Diablos special.

4gamer interview:

lots of interesting stuff about the development of the game.

about the decision of removing Stella, my problem with that isn't related to her looks or personality. Luna, after all, is still blonde, have a white dress and she's a noble from Tenebrae; it's the image about her opposing Noctis, and her having the first talk with him that evoked emotions that I can't get from Luna. I'm happy with her looks and traits so far tho.
Thank you for sharing! It was indeed an interesting interview. I'm so glad we are getting this game after all their uncertainty if they can make it an open world game, and also glad for them since they now have the skills and tech to make more these kind of games.

I think you maybe on to something, I thought originally it was a wing-tip behind the bottom of the skull. Now I think your right, it is just the elongation of the skull itself. So potentially Diabolos, not Doomtrain, at least it sort of looks like that for now...the plot continues to percolate, lol.

I didn't played the demo, so I was asking myself if the actual demo looks like this, dark, creepy and these persons in the distance?

If not, than I think they changed it, because they had no time?
I think its from here in Versus, tod changed obviously...Nice avi change btw;)
vlcsnap-2016-04-11-17h08m13s571.png

Perhaps this is from the normal game itself.
THIS.

This is definitely from the full game as LeonBlade said. The demo isn't really representative of anything of the full game. It was created over two months by two people which is why it wasn't visually as impressive as Ep Duscae. This moment of the game seems like it leads into one of the parts of the Brotherhood anime but I won't say what that is in case you haven't seen it. I really need to fix my time machine so I can warp to september 30th lol. I have a serious obsession with this game and the FF series in general.
