Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

I just want to add:
I can't believe I've finally played and finished the game. It's been a long time coming (pun intended) and, in my opinion, it was worth it.
The reviews are coming out and they aren't bad, they are mostly good --very good, in fact.

I hope that this game ends the 'dark period' this franchise went through, even if I loved some of the games, and that after this success -because it IS a success- Square Enix manages to do great again.
I'm willing to play the next Fantasy soon, but for now, Noctis journey is a good journey to live through. So, all of you who'll play the game starting today or tomorrow, enjoy it. It may not be the same as the Final Fantasies of old, but this game made ME -a fan since the late-90s- feel as if I was playing a classic FF, something I hadn't feel since the FFIX days. And I have the hunch that in ten years from now, when we look back (while playing, I hope, FFXVIII), we'll feel FFXV as one of the classics, along with VI, VII, IX and the others.

The team did a good job. A very good job.
I don't regret playing the game (or seeking it early!). On the contrary, I loved every minute of it. Of its flaws, even.

The music(variation of the prelude) that plays during the world of wonder video, I guess it was just a song for the trailer?
Kinda hoped it would have been used in the game too.

I haven't been a member of this forum for too long, but i just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making the wait more bearable over these last few months. I wish i'd discovered this forum earlier, it generally is one of the most welcoming sites i've been to. Now i can't wait to finally sink some time into FFXV. It's making me feel nostalgic back to the days i'd spend hours playing FFX and Kingdom Hearts on the PS2. I'm sure it will hold my interest just as much and be one of the best games i've played in a long time.

so far i didnt found one reporting the music, it was my favorite rendition of the theme so i hope it's there somehow.

So glad the game is being well-received.

Only an hour and a half to go!
Tried to sleep most of the day but still a bit tired.
That will change once I boot up the game. Gonna have a cuppa coffee in a bit just to help with the alnigher

I got my copy guys I am gonna have to wait a couple of hours sadly cause of the Crown Update, but I want to play it in its best form so I don't mind waiting. I mean, I have a couple of tv show, youtube vids, Kings Tale and Pokemon Sun to watch/play while I wait anyways. Also I got the guide, had to take a peak at the bestiary. Omg its amazing.

6 minutes! Got my controller fully charged, my headphones in and a mountain of unhealthy energy drinks by my side!

But before I go into FFXV no social life mode: ladies and gents, it has been truly a fun roller coater ride I've had with this game and discussing it with all of you. I've met a great community of FF fans and I'm glad to have had the time to converse with you lot. Take care guys I will see you after I finishing devouring the game whole xD

My UCE is stuck at customs for review... I was sure I'd get it today, dammit.

So because of that, I need to wait a little over 4 more hours for my digital version to become playable.

The wait is excruciating. I'm watching a show on Netflix, House of Cards. I really like it and all, but my mind simply isn't there as much as it should for such a brilliantly written show.

I tried sleeping it off, but there's just so much sleep my body will accept before it says "nope. You're rested. Get up!". -__-

I think I will watch Kingsglaive and Brotherhood again before the game becomes playable. But I've already watched those many times and know them by heart. :/
