just defeated Nafgarl at level 67, really wasn't that hard.

my group was dead 90% of the time, but it's doable with noctis alone; i think items are way op and easy to obtain.

edit:

got this babe here, the "motor" part now is smaller tho.

I've been thinking about Noctis and now I feel bad for him. He never had a real childhood and the one job laid out for him by said childhood was stripped away. He didn't even get a chance to fulfill his kingly duties to his own people.
I feel really bad for him too, but I interpret things a bit differently:

Regis tried to give Noct as normal of a childhood as he could precisely because Noct was never expected to rule the country. I got the impression from Brotherhood that going to public school and having his own apartment outside the Citadel were things Noct wanted as a means of getting away from reminders of his status.

Of course, it was never really enough, since keeping Noct safe and maintaining the pretense that he was being raised as a royal heir rather than a sacrificial lamb was important. But Noct knew that being Lucian royalty meant dying for his people (even if he probably expected for his health to fail slowly the way Regis' did instead of being expected to go out in a blaze of glory), and the people who raised him were clearly sensitive to that.

And, well, that's the rub. He did accomplish the one job set out for him since childhood, because that job was martyrdom. It's a different breed of awful, because it meant learning that everyone who took care of him -- Regis, Luna, possibly even Gladio and Ignis depending on how you interpret Brotherhood Episode 4 -- knew they were guiding him to his death. How do you even deal with something like that?

But I don't think Noct found his dearth of time spent as a ruler particularly disappointing. He seemed far more upset about how little time he actually had with the people he cared about. =(

funny i had the same thoughts this morning when i was looking to prompto's photos :/

End spoilers

he had his father, mother and bride killed, basically his friends were his support and joy in life; he's the only MC from the main series to sacrificewith with such resolve but i can't help to feel bad for him really, he's burden was heavy.

edit:

get the defensive trumpet with the vendor, it's really useful; in general, sabertusks, wyverns and couerls are op, stingers can give the highest multiplier but they die quickly if you don't have the defensive boost.

anyway i don't see how the magitek generator is useful since the regalia-F gives you infinite fuel, i'm working on the big bang skin and the ingredient.
I got everything I need and all that's left is that magitech thing. Heard it was required for 100% completion so just trying to get it.

Takes freaking forever even if you bet 9999 and win.

The Big Bang decal is niiice.

trying to beat Naglfar at level 67

now this is a challenge

edit:

altissia layout artwork

http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net...st/scale-to-width-down/2000?cb=20160518190245

all in japanese, there's a passage to exit the city by boat, while in the game we only have the entrance; would be great if anyone could translate.

If you open the map up when you're in Altissia, you can see that you were meant to explore every part of it originally.

In the northern part of the map you can see two or three little ports that could've been resting points or camping spots, as well as a potential dungeon too on the north east section.

Man this was ages ago but just randomly stumbled upon it just now.

Check out the gifs. I'm assuming that this was a cutscene or a quest of some sorts for her.

I find it funny how she surprised Ignis when she slid out from under the car. His subtle reaction to things say so much xD

Cindy comes off as quite quirky in that gif.

How very interesting.

I bought the Collectors Edition for the soundtrack and they have new or altered scenes when you're listening to the music and watching the video accompaniment for some tracks.

Nothing major. Just small adjustments here and there.

They probably wanted to stick to tradition with FF items given how possible it was for past games to gain 99 healing items and such, though it probably wasn't a swell idea challenge-wise.

I can see them nerfing it otherwise.

Or maybe limit the amount of items you can carry? Like you can only carry (throwing random numbers) a total of 20 items at most or you can only carry 5 stocks of each item.

5 stocks makes the most sense imo.

Actually, even adding a cooldown like regular magic would work too without affecting stocks.

Love the combat, but item balance would be appreciated (even if i still think the challenge is based on how you want it to be).

some ppl completed a lvl1 run

restorative items are so broken, they should just nerf or make them harder to get :/

edit:

got this scene with noctis brushing his teeth in caem (not my photo):

I-is Gladio putting his hand on Aranea's ass and trying to put her on his lap?!?

Damn Gladio you dirty dog lol xD

It makes me wonder.. is it possible to complete the level 1 challenge without the use of items at all? Voluntarily I mean.

The items are OP (I've only ever used standard potions. Never saw the need to use high potions tbh) but they do balance it out with all the one hit K.O monsters out there.

Balouve mines at level 1 is a good example one of getting one shotted instantly. However whether items are lifesaving or not should depend on the player's choice of whether they choose to utilise them or not no?

Items are created with the purpose of being lifesaving after all. So if they decide to make the game harder, perhaps an option for capping the number of times per battle is a good idea while keeping potency the same?

just had the hardest fight... against the coral allural bass

now that was a challenge, got him with 99 durabillity... after a few failed attempts.

i was fishing wrong the entire game, used to only tilt L3 while the prompt was on screen, but it's actually much better to your durability to press.

edit:

another fantastic gif by sunhilegend (final chapter spoilers)

one of my favorites battles in the entire franchise.
