You don't even need to stray that far to find an unfinished masterpiece -- FFVII started the tradition of releasing "International" versions in Japan because the developers didn't get a chance to finish everything they wanted to finish (like, say, the fight with Diamond Weapon) before being forced to release the game. ;)
FF7 is fine even though it was developmentaly incomplete it didnt feel like it there really aint any glaring holes in it while XV has tons in story and world.

Speaking of missing content - how much of Secret Of Mana had to be scrapped when the Sony/Nintendo partnership broke down? 75%?
I dunno. All I know is, they should all be burned at the stake for releasing such unfinished garbage!

(this is what you all sound like, BTW, people who constantly whine about everything on the internet)

I get the sense that, even after all the patches and DLC are released, some people are still gonna maintain their stance and still not be happy.

It's gotten beyond constructive critcism to just being a negative sour puss out of habit.

Can't please everyone I suppose. It's gotten passed the stage of feeling annoyance towards these people to just pitying them.

The original Japanese version didn't actually let you fight Diamond Weapon, which probably would have felt incomplete if they hadn't done more work on the game before releasing it in the west. I think I read something about the devs wanting to include optional Vincent and Yuffie segments in the ending but not being able to do that, and the ending itself is pretty weird regardless given how ambiguous it is about the survival of humanity. And nothing about the Huge Materia made any sense.

(I won't even bother with downright broken gameplay mechanics, like Magic Defense having literally no effect on anything.)

In general, though, VII is a game that's carried by its cast, not its plot.

"Slip into the designer cargo pants of Noctis Lucis"

LOL

Oh my xD

Seriously I do wonder how much his pants cost..
¥91,800 (~$814.88). ;)

We weren't able to take photos outside of battle freely, no.

During battle Prompto had a skill that enabled him to take a photo manually though.

Yeah. Yuffie and Vincent were originally part of the core story, but were almost cut, then delegated to being optional. The CGI team wanted to create CGi segments which would feature them for the ending if the player had recruited them, but there wasn't enough space on the disc so the concept needed to be scrapped.

I'm wondering if they'll make Yuffie and Vincent compulsary in the Remake version or not...

Yeah, that's what I'd heard, but I didn't mention it because I didn't have a link to support it.

If the two of them aren't mandatory in the remake, I'll eat my figurative hat. XD;

Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary, pages 8-13 (Yuffie and Vincent almost cut)
Final Fantasy VII: Book of Deconstructions - The Complete, page 215 (optional cutscenes considered but scrapped)
There's the sources! Oh, if you want similar little obscure titbits, you should check out the VII wikipedia article. It's recently got an extensive rewrite from several editors (me among them), and it's looking like a nice bit of alright.
