the best choice of words would have been this . "We didn't want to tell the story from an omniscient viewpoint or multiple viewpoint .so we choose to tell it from a single viewpoint ( Noctis) "

1. single viewpoint - the story is told through the eyes of one character. now depending on the story in question this could lead to plot holes since the one character can't possibly be everywhere at once. unless said character in question is clairvoyant.

2. omniscient viewpoint - story told by the narrator.

3 multiple viewpoint - the story is told through multiple characters point of views not just one character. a example of a multiple viewpoint is Final Fantasy 6

FFXV is probably going to go down in history as the biggest parody and meme FF title of all time. I can't tell you how many Ignis memes alone I've seen lol.
Oh it has already won both of those titles xD

Ignis is the FF meme King. Gonna be tough to overthrow him at this rate. I mean just look: http://i.imgur.com/KqN6grm.jpg

I'm seeing lots of boyband album parodies such as this: http://i.imgur.com/ntl6h7h.jpg

Gotta say I'm liking this a lot. Goes to show that the fans are having fun with it all - as they should.

It'd be hard for it not to when pretty much everyone involved is pushing for that to happen. XD Squenix's social media team is constantly facilitating memes, the voice actors are clearly having fun with them, and even the characters themselves join in on the memery surprisingly often.

And it definitely doesn't seem like a bad thing. I'd say it bodes well for FFVIIR retaining a lot of the original game's weirdness, at least.

Its just the mindset of them having their priorities wrong, its why people are mad.
This has nothing to do with priorities. This is a more common sense thing. Adding a skin/cosmetic is going to take a lot less time to create and implement than actual content that can/will change the experience.

It's even sillier in the case of the Cup Noodle helmet, given that they'd implemented it as part of a cross-promotional advertising deal. There's a clear practical benefit on Squenix's part in having made that skin (i.e. shared advertising costs), and it probably took one guy a couple of hours to throw together using existing assets.

Some of the reaction I've seen around this Cup Noodle helmet is over the top. Imagine that -- SE added in something completely optional (and region-specific for now) for people to enjoy in a video game.
There are people really up in arms over an optional piece of content? Jesus, just about anything XV-related is enough to trigger people.

"Instead of creating a comprehensive and perfectly balanced story..."

this made me lol

not like this tabata, not like this...
I know right?

What a load of bull coming out Tabata's mouth.

Oh, you wanted us to see the story through Noctis' eyes? Bull. There were many scenes shown where Noctis isn't present and/or has no relation to.

You messed up and made a bad choice in story telling 101. Don't try to justify it, Tabata. Please, you are only doing yourself a disservice.

I don't think he's talking about pure PoV as much as keeping the player on the same page as Noct. While he does say that "The world and the events that Noctis sees are merely things that are seen through his eyes," that part is restricted to "the events that Noctis sees," with the general rule being that they "placed importance on the main characters and for the player and Noctis to share the same experience when we tell the story."

While some scenes are shown from PoVs other than Noct's, none of them really make the player privy to information that Noct couldn't have at least surmised given his current level of knowledge. In fact, some of the alternate PoV scenes -- most notably, the Luna flashbacks -- are withheld until Noct does have reason to believe something of the sort would have happened.

In other words, while not every scene is from Noct's perspective directly, they're all at least consistent with his current mental state and don't result in significant discrepancies in the experience the player has vs. the experience Noct has. This affects flashbacks to Noct's youth, too, which show up when they become relevant to Noct's current mental state.

(Even something like adding a Gladio scenario to Chapter 13 would be subject to this rule, for what it's worth -- Noct might not have seen what Gladio was doing, but he'd probably have gotten the gist of it.)

Logical, I like.

While many would disagree with Tabata's stand, I can understand where he is coming from.

This is for musicians, especially pianists.

I found a transcription for the Piano Collections version of Somnus, so if you've been wanting to learn how to play the piece with the correct chords and notes, then it's here. The youtuber has also transcribed Noctis' theme (piano collections arrangement), so there's that too if you're interested.
