That's not definitive proof. He could be just defending himself. It's a matter of he said/she said if we're being honest until more conclusive information comes forward.
However, knowing Square-Enix's and their previous bumbling it's highly possible Nomura is telling the truth. At least the management has changed from the XIII/XIV days as Yoichi Wada is no longer in charge. Furthermore, if you do think Nomura is telling the truth then his alleged "anger" is at Square-Enix upper management. Not Tabata as some have theorized here. Tabata didn't take Versus away from Nomura and move him on another project. Upper management did. Anyway, it will be interesting to see if more developments about this will come out. Nomura may get more vocal as his does press tours or someone else reliable may corroborate his version of events. If there's one thing for certain, this Versus drama isn't going away anytime soon it seems.

Only vapid degenrates would cling to the belief that Nomura would ever hold a grudge towards Tabata, the latter literally outright said last year that Kitase and Nomura + their passion within major projects they were involved in were his biggest influences on getting a good sense of Sakaguchi's expectations in a FF title.
People really need to stop projecting their personal feelings on Nomura as if they speak for the man.

Very interesting. Taking the issue of Tabata and Nomura aside, I've long seen that Square does have staffing and management problems.
As a whole, I do think the company needs to work on its management side of things because the way they're handling their projects and marketing events aren't really that great...

Lets not go ahead of all this and starting to pity him. For all ppl with logical and cool mind, everything was clear from the start during those dark times and even now. Sure part of problems are up to the heads of SE and management department. But another part belongs to those who are in the head of that same project. And taking this interview it look not in preety light, like someone of us see it and trying to convince others.
Nomura by saying this words already prepared safe board for him just in case. Before the project even saw the light, the captain already trying to blame others but not himself. And thats, if you ask me, well, not a very good. So if the game will have a problems, or cut conntent, or anything else, and the game will have this for sure, we must blame someone else, but not him. If we were pirates, we would already sent that 'captain' to feed sharks. Before somene will argue, ill say this: I wouldnt had any problems with that interview, if he would said this some time after release the game, but not DURING IT.
And the most important thing, when ppl blaming Nomura for his fails, his fanboys like blind hamsters trying to protect their saint god, but when they starting to blame, for example, Tabata, they are like crazy saying burn him, kill him, fire\discharge, cause he ruined and destroyed work of our saint. Why only Tabata? Everyone else blame too then. If you treat Tabata or others in that way, expect others to treat Nomura in the same way, cause Twelves see, he deserved this too.

about the discussion: all in all, even though Square-Enix might be the bigger culprit i'm sure nomura also had his part. It's funny when his fans try to defend him while they blame tabata for everything considering he also had to submit to whatever decisions the company made (just like nomura); clear case of double standards.
