Aight ladies/gentlemen that's enough. The reality is that none of the public will ever know the full details to what took place during the past 10 years. Sure, we have some information to work with, but at best on several aspects we can only make educated speculated guesses at best. The situation is what it is. If you enjoyed FFXV, awesome and if not that's okay as well. Could FFXV have been a better product? Possibly yes, but it could have also possibly turned out worse than what it did as well. One thing is for certain though: FFXV is going to be getting used as some means of a reference at some point in the future when creating some large numbered FF mainline title.

I agree with everything, but it has little to do with what I was talking about. I'm not disputing FFXV's quality, I'm just against baseless denigrating of people behind it. I feel the same about Tabata being blamed for things he had little to no influence over (i.e. cut content). It's okay to criticize them for creative choices they were in charge of, but it's incredibly childish to push on them the responsibility for things that are decided by people above them (i.e. game not entering full production for years). It's ridiculous when someone has an already made up narrative about what happened behind the scenes and dissmisses anything going against it. A person who was in the center of the whole situation shared his perspective on it and is being called a liar just because it doesn't go along with a story someone had already crafted in their mind. A story with a clear "villain" to boot. And then having the gall to call other people blinded. It's absolute bullshit and I'm gonna call it out when I see it. Sorry.

apparently more early FFXV storyboards surfaced; it seems FFXV beginning at hammerhead (the car is really similar in design to the one featured on 2011s Versus trailer).

also this, which illazy posted but link is broken:

just seems an image they put together to give the general idea of their activities, nothing rendered in-game (or maybe from a very early build); the images are from a lecture at Tokyo Univ. of the Arts that happened today.

@Storm Is it me or does that shot visually resemble the Ebony build from 2013?

Also another concept art too, with Luna, Regis, & Noctis:

Yep. Looks like the Ebony build, you can even see it has the "weapon switch" HUD with the 2013 style. Tabata and Nomura both said they started migrating it to Luminous in July 2013, so most likely it's from that transitional period from 2013 to late 2014.

My hope for FFXV is if they could adapt some story stuff from the anime and movie into the game. I feel like the entirety of brotherhood's flashbacks should have been part of the game when you do the friend quests by the campsite, albeit, shorter and less dragged out. Kingsglaive is another story, but the fact that they have this one road leading to presumably Galahd in game makes me feel like they plan on updating that part of the map eventually.

Though above all, I am excited for the extra story content they plan to dish out based on the polls they took.

Gamescom can't come any sooner.

Darin de Paul is cleaning house!

In all honesty though the voice acting in FFXV was pretty good all around (Luna not so much...)

Great to see that the VA's are getting good recognition for their work.

I approve of this. Was especially getting tired of Nolan North hogging awards (really good VA but I found his performance in TLOU far more interesting than with Drake).
