In Japan the DLC got a jump in price from 1500 yens to 1980 yens, no words on how this will apply to the western release.

source: http://www.jp.square-enix.com/ff15/sp/online/

EDIT: New release date confirmed as Nov 7. The MP will cost 19.99$. PS+ & XBlive is only requiered for online play, thr MP story can be played without it. Recipehs will carry to the main game.

recently confirmed via Twitch streaming.

avatar creation seems very robust

also weapon upgrade system will be more nuanced than base game, it will also change the appearence of a weapon.

dissapointed at no pvp and no other relevant content shared to main game except recipes >:

Seems like I missed out on a lot while I was away.

I’ve no problem with the delay. I’d rather they take their time than rush it.

As for the price increase, I guess they need to fund the 2018 updates somehow.

Seeing as all support was meant to cease and desist by end of 2017, increasing the price to accommodate the prolonged support must’ve been a condition for approval.

They didn't show much, they got started 10 minutes late because the panel that was on before FFXVs one was running 10 minutes late and pushed XV overtime, so XV instead of its alotted 30 minutes got only 20 minutes.

They really just showed a bit of Lestallum and showed MrHappy1227 and Yunaleska's avatar which look pretty on point, and Mat Kishimoto also had one lol.

Other than that they just took on a quick hunt but they got cut off before they could fight the boss. Things of note was that you can do single player stuff without needing to have PSN+/XBL, you only need that if you wanna do online stuff. There will be recipehs you can take back into the main game. Weapon system basically what we saw in the online test but with more since it doesn't have them locked out like that did, Cid upgrading them now has some more stuff to it than he does for weapons in the regular game too.

And at the end Mat just confirmed that the new release date is November 7th, 1 week after the initial planned October 31st date.

You can catch the whole thing here.

Oh that’s great news. I won’t be playing online, just single player stuff so that’s pretty good.

More recipehs is always welcome lol

That's great news for me as well, I'm more looking forward to the Single Player, as I'm not one for Multiplayer aspects.

Edit:

After seeing that video, and reading a comment off of Reddit, it seems Single Player is limited to some game-play and building up Lestallum as a base. I do hope the story isn't locked behind the online aspect, I just bought a three month PS+ just a few minutes ago just in case so that I can do it's story, I would be disappointed a little, but this could push me into going out of my way a little, although, what if building up Lestallum was the story for Comrades? In Chapter 14, it was a refuge for people.

What Reddit comment?

Hmm I wouldn’t be too happy if the entire story for Comrades is locked behind a PS+ subscription tbh.

I already paid for the season pass to get access to the game after all.

I imagine cancelling the subscription would be a prolonged and pain in the ass process, but then again I haven’t dealt with customer service for PS yet.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm glad Neogaf is dead.
What do you mean? What happened?

Man I've been so out of the loop lately not really keeping up to date.

Edit: Just looked it up. Well... that's messed up.

If they're abandoning that website, then all those people will probably go to Gamefaqs or here for Final Fantasy related news...

I don’t have VR so can’t get the samurai outfit D:

I’d wager it will become available as a cosmetic dlc eventually though.

@Storm true. That site is extremely valuable and is worth 7 figures (or even 8) if sold.

If sold, it could still operate as it always did but just with a new owner is all.

OT: So Neogaf is unfortunately back. Owner is staying on despite the sexual allegations since he and his cesspool website have no shame. Some of the previous modship have also returned in loyalty to him for whatever reason. Moderations are now anonymous. As per usual, you'll be banned if you go against the status quo. Difference now being you won't know who banned you anymore. How fair and balanced. Many people are "suiciding" (intentionally getting their accounts banned by speaking out) and it's just dissolved into a massive mess. So it's now official. Neogaf is pretty much the 4th Reich. Congrats, /v/. You aren't the worst gaming related web portal on the Internet anymore. Surely a celebration must happen in light of this dethroning.
