That Amano art is amazing.

I went from "I don't wanna pay $20 for the DLC when I already have half the content D=" to "Maybe I'll just rebuy the whole game" in about a millisecond. >_>;

I was expecting some sort of update to Chapter 14, but I didn't think the Chapter 14 update to be an Insomnia expansion, I'm even more excited about the new Chapter 14 than before, especially the new cutscenes and bosses, and the new Armiger looks pretty sweet, and the boat was unexpected for me. Of all of the new content this 'Royal Update' on March 6th, I'm looking forward to exploring the new, expanded Insomnia, seeing the new story cutscenes and fighting the new bosses the most, and I might try to get the new Armiger, and try the boat.

So the new content will be also released as a DLC for 20 euros??
Thats a lot of, but I really want to fight against Cerberus, Omega and see the new Cutscenes and whatever they will offer us.
Perhaps I will just wait for the another complete edition in one year later, because we are expecting at least another 3 DLCs which are not even released yet.

It's just annoying that they released the main game too early, I mean its good they update the game even further, but on the other side you play the game in an incomplete state and play pieces by pieces the updates. In the end you can't experience the game in full piece, only in the end than all DLCs are released, but waiting for this is just killing me.

yeah thats the bad part of it, but i need to say it feels good to see a game you like getting frequent updates; feels like the journey is extending and with mods that feeling will remain for a good while.

He was secretly an insider all along :jawdrop:.
My take on it is that you will fight them separately but here's the catch, similarly how @Storm described it, you will fight most of them "on the same battle" but actually you will only fight with 3 of them (the ones shown in the trailer) with the others only being summoned as extension of their attacks (think of it as Yuna in Dissidia 012)
They could make them Chapter 15 exclusive bosses.
Correcting myself here, but It looks like you fight them in the same room that gets progressively destroyed as you fight more of them.

And its more likely all of this is an extension of chapter 14 with some post game content. If you look closely at the trailer, all of these bosses are in the 40s-50s (except for Omega). ALSO they are all part of the Cure of Insomnia questline, which is the final questline in the game. This whole part in chapter 14 just got massively expanded.

Judging by location, it seems that instead of just fighting Ifrit -> Ardyn, they added many other bossfights and cutscenes and areas to this section of the game. Ardyn putting up the shield around the Citidel makes it seem like you have to fight a few bosses to take it down.

Speculating, but I think Cerberus is placed outside of the Citidel for this exact reason, along with potentially other monsters to fight (Including the ones that were in the original dungeon). Fighting Ifrit to get into the Citidel will probably be similar. But, then it seems that you now have to actually go up the Citidel slowly and fight these Rulers of Yore before facing Ardyn.

The reason why I think this is because Cerberus is Level 45 in the trailer, then 2 of the Rulers are levels 48 and 53 respectively. And there are also new cutscenes revolving around these bosses as well. It is also likely they bumped up Ardyn's level or even revamped his fight as a result.

Omega is level 119 in that trailer, so he's totally post game.

yeah it does seem like a big overhaul

while i liked the subdued tone of the original chapter, this one seems more realistic given the high stakes, it really felt like the final events on the base game passed by without much ceremony.

just the fact no one was there to help the king irked me; also it brings closure to characters like cor that had none and more kings of old is always a good thing since they felt unimportant; this really looks worthy of a final battle context.

Seriously, the thing I love most about this is, is that in Comrades, they already retconned Noctis's awakening to include the Kingsglaive there to greet him. This seems to play up on that firstly. Seeing Luna partly in that final trailer likely means they are going to clarify the ending alot more, as well as give her something satisfying to do.

While this may not be the WoR, we may get something on that in the future as well, considering they've told us that Aranea and Iris would be seen eventually but were dealing with their own stuff in Lestallum. Honestly, I'm down for a character episode to take care of that. Play as Iris and have Aranea as your party member, or vice versa.

Honestly this whole thing feels like a dream. I never thought we'd actually get these story improvements. I'd pay another 100 bucks to see everything I could want. We'll see what they manage to include though by years end.

Well, part of me is VERY HAPPY about this because I love FF XV, but also there's part of me is very meh about it. I won't buy a new game because I already bought it a few months ago and I like this version much more. I'm pissed that they are making us pay for the content that I feel that should be in game when they released it. I also would like more like a normal sequel made from the stuff they already had and some new things than the endless line of dlcs...also did anyone notice that Ardyn in the trailer is same Ardyn from AC: Origins? It is copy-pasted lol xD
Edit: okay it's not, it just looked very similar on phone but when I checked it on laptop it's ok -,-

Just announced! A new soundtrack album for Final Fantasy XV subtitled Volume 2 is set for release on March 2. It's coming in CD and Blu-ray format.

The album includes music from the main game, all three DLC scenarios, Comrades, and new tracks from Shimomura herself which will debut in the Royal Edition content. Exclusive to the Blu-ray version is a live recording from the 2017 Piano Collections concert.

Guys, seeing how overhauled Chapter 14 had become, do you guys think they also updated the Ifrit fight?
Not sure about Ifrit, considering his fight was fine for the most part, but I think Ardyn's is going to get overhauled entirely. It seems more logical that this fight get redone especially now that they added the Rulers in as fights, which just from the 5 seconds I've seen, look better than Ardyn's fight. I'm hopeful for that and it being something hidden they have not mentioned yet.
