A loss, but a relatively trivial one. Very unlikely to impede anyone's ability to enjoy the game. And to be honest, given what's happened the last two times they did it, it's probably for the best.
"My Hands", while not a bad song in itself (a mediocre one from Leona Lewis, mind you. Nowhere near a personal favourite of mine), it was clear as day that it was brought in at the last minute with little thought when the aborted task of translating "Kimi Ga Iru Kara" (which I quite liked) was abandoned late. It was ill-fitting, and jarring.
"New World" at least fit the part well. Until when they decided to play it at the end. It would have worked if the ending was 100% happy as the title would ordinarily suggest at first glance, but it turns out to be too upbeat for what actually happens beginning halfway in, that it comes out incongruous and distracting.
