I'm also really hoping this will be the case. I remember there was a lake in the Vesperpool that had a really low resolution water reflection, it was super distracting and felt very incomplete. Would be cool if they addressed these things.
This all sounds so good and I really hope we don't set ourselves up for disappointment by looking at this without seeing how it's implemented into the game.

Oh, I always assumed Altissia was a peninsula and had a train station/track of its own, separate from the water bridge that you use to enter. Always thought it was the part on the right here (which says Exit). But a port town makes more sense.
