Well... it's been fun. I've really enjoyed XV however this will be the last time I invest into a "game as a service" product that hasn't already released as a fully realized experience, or is at the very least is close to achieving it because seeing how close this game got to being a real masterpiece only to have support cut off (I'm talking about support for the main game, not exactly the DLC's) so close to achieving it makes me feel abysmal. Oh, and rip Chocobo Festival & Black Chocobo for no reason I guess lol...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to FF7 now but it won't be a day 1 purchase like XV was until I know everything I'm getting, and everything I'm not.

How do you guys feel about the Insomnia map we got in Episode Ardyn? For me, I'm enjoying it, and more than the Royal Pack DLC's version of it surprisingly, and quite addicting to exploring Insomnia in Episode Ardyn, especially on the streets and rooftops. But this is just my opinion, I'd like to know what everyone else thinks about it.

I like the two versions of Insomnia equally for different reasons. I'm with you though, exploring and just taking down groups as they pop up is addicting. I like trying to use the environment to warp around and get behind enemies. It looks like I may have to replay the DLC a few times until I get A+ so I'm glad they made Insomnia fun. I'm definitely not dreading running through it again and again.

Episode Ardyn is really cool tho. But I don't get it. He is came to Insomnia and burn it, he beat Regis. And no one remember it after 30 years? Ardyn came to Regis in Kingsglaive and everything was fine.

I'll never stop playing FFXV, it's my favorite game of all time. But I think I'll only be sticking around on here and the subreddit to discuss it until the novel comes out. I haven't been around as long as most of the people in this thread but it's been a fun year for me here. Thanks Storm, Bazztek, Paperchampion, Ikkin, and all of the other frequenters of this thread. Even when there's been arguments it's just been really cool to be a part of a group who's just as invested in this game as I am.

okay so i finally finished the dlc...my thoughts:
-i feel like the dlc was overpriced. converted to usd it costed me over 11 dollars. hope square will enjoy the extra cash and do something proper with it...
-beginning i liked. vestrael was a bitch, but actually quite likeable (lolz). i enjoy that he looked like old prompto, nice touch.
-wandering through the nifs base was great and showed a lot of extra info like the world map etc
-insomnia seemed super small, repetitive and ugly. seriously it looked like they made it in 2008 and just left untouched since then (more like ps3 map but with a slight hd converting so it could pass as ps4 game).
-i didn't like the music :c it was too loud and stressful, and i really wanted to wander insomnia for a bit :( such a pity we couldn't walk around with npcs more.
-at first aera seemed like a cool character, i liked that she was less depressed than luna and she was actually smiling but in the end it turned out that she and somnus were hiding ardyn's fate from him? im not sure i understood it right....
-somnus also was a bitch and i dont like that my fav game theme music is his name, noooo -_-
-i was hoping for the photo mode but there was nothing! aghrrr...why was it in options tho...
-i liked that during saving ardyn was sitting on the bench, drinking coffe and reading magazines. anyone else noticed that it was cars magazine and his car was on the cover? haha
-i was hoping that there will be different endings like with episode ignis but they turned out to be very similar.
-i will buy the novel but i can already feel how expensive will it be to get it...hope it will be worth it.
well, that was quite a ride! i enjoyed ff xv but im glad it ends. of course i would kill for noctis, luna and aranea cancelled dlcs but there's nothing we can do. i would be super happy if they'd decide to reboot it and made versus but the closer thing we will have to that is probably next kingdom hearts or its dlc. saying goodbye to this thread is a bit depressing - hey we have a novel and datamining before us! :D
edit: i also kind of hoped that they will show us small noctis and how he got injured. regis fight was kind of meh, all he did was scream stuff like 'i need to save the city':rolleyes::rolleyes:

Insomnia was really just a battleground, it was the same stretch of land from the royal edition just built up. You couldn’t really explore without kingsglaives breathing down the back of your neck. And then it was completely evacuated so it’s nothing like a living breathing city. You’re not really going to notice or want to go back to Insomnia.

Oh and I have to delete Kingsglaive

13 years man *manly tears*

just think about the amount of discussions, expectations, theories, drama and salt this single game generated over the years. FFXV made part of our imaginary for so long.

I can say it was tiring at times, the wait, the not so optimal or questionable decisions, the uncertainty, will this feature be in the game or not? FFXV had the potential to be a fantastic game but despite the shortcomings it ended up a solid and unique entry nonetheless.

what a journey it has been, you guys are the best for being so reasonable, I´m proud of this community because its a place where we can truly discuss and trade ideas instead of descending to mindless whining or praising and most of the time there is mutual respect, but this is it, theres is no more recipehs; time to sleep and wait for a new fantasy.

I loved the Verstael scene. A nice dinner, wine. Pretentious philosophical banter. And then we find out he’s cloning that meat. Lol It was so awkward and I couldn’t look away. But at the same time there was SO much lore. Verstael had such a good spirit even though he was insane, trying to get Ardyn to change his mind, at the end of it you know... Ardyn really didn’t like them. F them all, that’s what he said. Lmao.

Same, FFXV is one of my favorite games of all time itself, despite it's flaws, but I'm happy to have been part of this journey.
