They were doing a preview for 15 select people who signed up for it to give their feedback, opinions and thoughts to the devs based on what was shown to them for it back on the 25th of September.

It hasn't been that long since then.

Looks like the new FFXV mobile game for China is still happening?

New Amano FFXV art too.

http://www.duowan.cn/news/423250528844.html

According to a rough google translation of the Chinese article it says the game is being made for Mobile using UE4, and the theme of the artwork is "Origin of Mythology", it also mentions the Big Bang Amano artwork and the Royal Edition Amano art as being three art pieces that are connected.

Especially since there had been a longer period of time between them officially re-revealing it in May 2019 to them then announcing the preview event in September, compared to that preview event in September to now.

If anything it got delayed to 2020.

More of our boy Yozora at the end, that classic line he shares with Sora fits the whole "never sure if he's awake or asleep" thing they were planning on having for Noctis in Versus.
Not gonna lie, it's kinda funny how people are eating up what essentially amounts to a Royal Expansion for KH3 while FFXV caught a ton of flack for it. I'm personally looking forward to it myself as well but I found KH3 kinda suffered the same fate as XV where a lot of the key story was backloaded and the game kinda feels like it hits its finale right as it begins to hit its stride yet I'm not seeing the same reaction to it that I saw with FFXV. Wonder why that is.

While I agree that KHIII had many of the same problems XV had (some in a different shape or form), the final parts of the game with all the boss encounters and everything compensated the drawbacks to me personally, while FFXV's endgame felt completely undercooked.

Also, KHIII's dlcs, unlike the Royal Pack, do not change the final locations of the game or expand the core game itself - it will remain the same (for better or worse), while all this new stuff is extra scenarios. And we all knew this would happen - Final Mix was a thing for almost all the major KH games.

This DLC is essentially the final mix, which has always been a thing.

Also, KH3 was announced in 2013 and that's when a lot of people think the development has begun. On the other hand FFXV is widely believed to have entered development in 2006, and as such XV gets more scrutiny for launching incomplete.

I'll also personally make the argument that ReMind is just one DLC that's incorporated into the story rather than 5+ DLCs that are disjointed. Moreover, everything shown in KH3 trailers mostly made it into the final game, but about half the content/scenes shown for FFXV in its trailers got cut from the final game, hence people are not upset at "stuff missing." And lastly, it seems this single DLC for KH3 is adding everything the fans asked for (refer to the KH3 forum on here for the breakdown) while 3+ years after XV came out we're still missing so much content that we've been asking for.

The KH3 DLC is the actual ending of KH3 because KH3 base game did not have one, whatever content is in ReMind would now be the "final location" of the game, even if its technically reusing all the assets from the base game for those said areas, but with different story happening in it now that is after that. The difference between KH3 DLC and XV DLC is that XV DLC are paralell sidestories to things you were doing from Noctis's perspective in the main game, to completely different things with other party members, they are not needed to understand the main game and hold no real relevance outside their DLC, while KH3's DLC is filling crucial plot points that went completely unexplained that had been set up years in advance, with things happening during the climax of the game with various characters that went completely unexplained, and with it taking place as the actual ending of the game.

This DLC is essentially the final mix, which has always been a thing.

KH3 DLC is literally selling cut content, the overwhelming majority of it being reused assets identical to base game, and things that should have been in the base game because there was so little anything good or worthwhile in base game KH3, also the KH3 DLC looks disjointed as fuck because instead of being their own self contained side stories with different characters it's now the main story continuing through DLC from different characters which itself in KH3 was disjointed when that happened between Sora, Riku and Aqua. The XV DLC can't be said to be disjointed for that reason when the point of it was always to be seperate side stories and not the main game, even more so considering XV is a Chapter based game and so choosing a DLC episode from a menu is no different in essence than choosing a chapter from the chapter select menu. In addition KH3 also does have DLC you access from a menu too in addition to things added to main game like Royal Pack did, except unlike Royal Pack the KH3 DLC stuff being added is the actual ending of the game, whereas XV always had a proper start, middle and end that finished the story since launch.

It also took a whole year to make just for this, whereas XV pumped out far higher quality DLC in 3 month periods for a whole year for multiple full DLCs.

Also Nomura adding FF characters back into KH3 is him going back completely on what he gave as his excuse for there being no FF characters in KH3, because there was "no room", and then all the KH defenders would use Nomura's words as some gospel for why FF shouldn't be in KH anymore, but now FF is in KH3 DLC and those people clinging to Nomura's words act like they always wanted FF characters and Nomura just went back on his precious "vision", just to appease the vast majority of people who were complaining to SE for there being no FF characters in KH3.

The double standard of KH/Nomura fanboys.

The irony of you being a Nomura fanboy is what really makes this so hilarious. Even more so when Nomura admitted to FF characters in KH3 being cut content that the staff got mad at him for cutting, or how KH0.2 was cut content from KH3 which was sold for full price $60 packed alongside a shitty 3DS port and a shitty 1 hour movie version of part of a mobile game. Please explain how is Gladio getting a scar for Gilgamesh while Noct is off getting Mythril in Steyliff to repair the boat so they can go to Altissia an important piece of "missing story" that is crucial to the plot, but how Xion came back at the Keyblade Graveyard or anything with Roxas which all happens at the CLIMAX of the game not crucial KH3 story that has had years building up towards?

I've told you this before but get over yourself, your head is so far up your ass that you actively defend shit Nomura does while try to criticize XV for doing far less just because you are still butthurt that Nomura was kicked off XV and your precious Versus shit was cancelled, no wonder you have that Verum Rex avatar, you actually think that will be Versus or something close when it's just some soulless expy with nothing but superficial similarities and retains none of the actual core of it.

And on that note, you have a Verum Rex avatar, you can't be taken seriously in any capacity.

You'd probably even defend ReMind DLC if it cost $60 and try and reason that with "b-but you had to buy 2FM at full price 14 years ago!?".

I've seen alot more hate for Remind than the Royal Edition but KH3 is also still fresher now than FFXV was when the Royal Edition released.

EDIT: Also I regret being the one who shared Kingdom Hearts here lol

Yee I've read some pretty mixed reactions on the $30 price, hope the content goes well in the end regardless of the $10 difference.

Well damn, the $30 price tag is pretty steep. Also when I made that comment the price wasn't known yet so things were a bit different. I personally saw a lot of enthusiasm and justification by calling it Final Mix which I suppose is what it is. Either way though I personally didn't see as much vitriol for it then.

Anyways my apologies, wasn't trying to ignite a conflict by drawing attention to that, just thought it would be an interesting discussion.

Despite its many flaws, Final Fantasy XV is still my favorite game of all time. Even outside of the FF series.
I can agree with this. Not everyday a game's development takes you on a wild run for 10 years phasing in and out of mind, changing directors, and changing direction.

A lot of people had predetermined they were going to hate FFXV regardless of what it did. Literally some people criticized the game for "being incomplete". Yet when the developers took out time to make the overall experience more filling the same people complained about that also. Also factor in FFXV was known to the general public for some time, and went through several versions which allowed more room for head canons to be generated. When those head canons were not met, ofc there were going to be people upset with what they got. Then ofc FFXV is a lot more risky of a product than KHIII. Sure it is the nature of FF to constantly reinvent itself each time (which has become more radical with each console generation), but a lot of the FF fandom isn't as open minded as you would expect them to be if they have played the series a long time.

After the game Final Fantasy XV suffered a lot of content cut.

In particular many cutscenes presented in the trailers of Tetsuya Nomura (Versus XIII) but too with the beginnings of Hajime Tabata.
