Jesus. Just as I think I can move on, something like this reels me back in.

Assuming some sort of new content is being made, my guess is it'll be a drama CD based off DotF. Then again, with Ardyn's voice actor gone, who's to say.
If they're doing any new content that expands the plot (as opposed to just adding material for Noct and the bros), recasting Ardyn would be practically mandatory. Ardyn is to FFXV what Sephiroth is to FFVII - if he's not a major player, the fanbase will complain. xD

I'm lucky and my girlfriend preordered the book half year ago to surprise for my birthday (not surprised anymore, but really happy xD)

Now in some part of my brain there's hope that SE said:
" Okay, fans are burned out of FFXV and sales are not coming along. Let's delay the new content so we can have something to push at the start of the next gen.Making a bigger marketing movement to get fans back. Also giving more time to the developers to achieve their vision."

I'm really not expecting anything like that, if they were pumping WE with more features, like bringing robust modding options... But they completely abandoned that idea, the new Stadia content is laughable at best.

Maybe something related to that new chinese FFXV-based game, I don't know.

You know, I still don't think I've seen any of the combat modes they added to Stadia. Those definitely interest me alot more than the bizarre buggy car levels (specifically that flying magnet one lol). I'd like to at least see what Deathgaze's fight looks like in the base game, it was really fun in Comrades. Haven't looked in a while but had trouble finding anything outside of commentary videos talking over footage of the off road Regalia obstacle course mode. Can't be bothered to drop another $50-$60 on this game again for the Stadia version either. They already got a CE, Deluxe PS4 copy (for Regis's spin off game from Gamestop before they added it to the PSN store), normal Xbox One copy (for my brother), Season Pass, Royal Pack PS4, and Windows Edition on Steam out of me.

Now I've seen some press scans, the artwork looks interesting to say the least, so I've decided to order a copy. And since I've already spoiled myself rotten on the book's contents, I don't mind waiting or seeing updated summaries. It's a way to support SQEX's new publishing label that I don't mind in the least.

On a side note, while many translations I've seen seem to have used a first-person style (which may or may not be in line with the original text), the official localisation I saw in the scan uses third-person narration.

He could put to rest years of discussion (based on vague assumptions), or potentially create even more (but based on reliable information this time).

Dis goin to be gud, I just hope he doesn't decide to only spill out at his 89s birthday or something.
I wonder what it was that the FFXV team sent him since it's what sparked Tattsun's initial posts to begin with. Some of the FFXV staff replied to his posts saying they were glad it arrived to him safely, and one of the FFXV staff Toshiyuki Momose said to Tattsun that "I also think it would be good if someday the time for when we can talk about various things arrives."
So maybe it is something related to an NDA almost expiring?

Additionally this also may be nothing but FFXV dev Yusuke Tanaka also RT'd Tattsun's post but didn't directly reply, but he then posted this image of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building afterwards and then followed up by saying "Feels like there is signing ceremony".

Shimomura also just posted a video of Benyamin Nuss playing a new arrangement of Somnus.

She's been posting various piano arrangements of her compositions recently to her twitter and youtube so it's nothing specific to just FFXV.

Yoko Shimomura just now posted an arrangement of her playing Moonlit Melodies, which itself is an arrangement of Noctis and Luna's theme used in the credits for Royal Edition.
Yoko Shimomura said:
This "Moonlit Melodies" is a sketch version before officially arranged. I was calling "NOCTIS and LUNA" until I put the official title. Two beautiful photographs (stained glass and the moon) were taken by photographer Yutaka Nakamura.

I might've dismissed all this as something of a prank or leg-pull for us oh-so-eager fans who want to know "the truth", but this much material coming out now, before the month of gaming with all these events, is a little fishy.

Or it could all be a gigantic coincidence or leg-pull.

Okay, that arranged rendition of NOCTIS and LUNA is beautiful and heartbreaking. And two symbols of mourning and transience the bookend it? Their story's already tragic enough.

There certainly does seem to be an awful lot of discussion of FFXV recently, doesn't there?

Kind of amusing, but I thought that shot of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building was a screenshot from someone fighting Cerberus with a different lighting mode activated. XD

Yeah, the timing certainly raises questions. XD;

Technically, the rose window of a cathedral is a more a symbol of eternity than of mourning. ;)

This might be just a sort of building-up momentum for the novel's release OR for a PS5 edition reveal lol
Not gonna lie, the novel's impending release is what drew me back in most recently. Being stuck at home and just coming off of FF7R too, I've been wanting to replay the game again. It's been a little while at this point. I've mainly been trying to optimize my copy of the game since I've had some stuttering and other issues on PC after some of the more recent updates. Getting close to it running smoothly again, then I'll play through one more time before the novel.
