Regardless, I'm just not sure what they were trying to accomplish in the long term with how they marketed and claimed from interviews of intending to deliver a full fledged faithful Remake....only to hastly pull the rug and provide the opposite. :banghead:

Same. Not gonna lie, these past few months have progressively made me more sour on this project. Anything I'm mildly curious about for future installments are the party banter interactions and expanded combat tools.

Even a simple patch allowing players to choose which segments to replay within chapters would have been enough to bypass the padded aspects.
As it stands they essentially left the game to collect dust, which is frustrating coming from FF7 of all things after how marketing went into the Remake.

I'm certain we could also add the game's turbulent development history/deadline among other things as a key contributer to various shortcomings tbf.
