#THEORY || Making sense of FFXV lore by going back to FFvXIII ||WARNING - spoiler & loooong post

Although it's fun to speculate, I doubt so much of the FNC mythos played a huge part in Versus's story. From the bits we can gather I would assume that it's actually the past Lucian kings who were supposed to be the Fal'Cies as judging by the Dawn trailer it was them confirming that Noctis was...

On a side note, they've added some samurai warrior armor unlock for the treasure hunt thingie on the PC. I never bothered trying that feature, however if anyone's into that thing, you can obtain it (excuse the slavrunes)

Gotta say, they did a great job with this event. Lvl 120 Garuda is now my second favourite boss in the game, after Bahamut, really well-designed.

I think their main source of inspiration for this mode was actually Monster Hunter. It'd make Comrades much more interesting if they implemented some sort of pre-hunt tracking for big marks, sorta like they did for the Deadeye quest (but randomized) and if monsters could flee to different parts...

Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

It really makes me wonder, what was their reasoning to release Comrades standalone besides getting some cash out of it? The expansion was never popular and after the first few weeks there was barely anyone playing it. Maybe they thought someone would just be interested in it for the sake of it...

I'd also add the navigation in the world itself in W3 was easier and more interesting to with less restrictions and more player freedom applied, while also often substantially rewarding the players for going out of their way to explore and find interesting stuff. Whereas XV's reward system was...

Open worlds with good gamedesign, towns, story etc. take not only budget, but also skill and passion. It's too obvious that BD2 didn't have much experience with this type of games and were mainly prioritizing to put FFXV together in a working state, omitting everything else. Tabata also stated...

Changing the designs of team Lucis is one of the worst things that happened to the game's world with its shift in direction, imo. The fact that Insomnia was supposed to be the only fully developed modern city in the world supported the fact that the royal family and their entourage would dress...

Also noticed that. It's still work in progress, but by today's standards the animations, lighting and texturework looked very low-quality. Plus a bunch of reused assets from Insomnia.

So with them saying that the Windows version support being ceased, it means no extensive modding tools will be available either? If so, this hurts more than anything in this whole situation. The community's passion could uplift so many of the game's flaws if given proper means to do that. But...

Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

Let's not put the full blame on the publisher alone. There were many questionable production and directional decisions that didn't do this game any favours (the whole FFXV universe idea, for example). Also Tabata mentioned multiple times that the team was struggling having no experience...

Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

I get why everyone's upset, but if anything, FFXV should've taught us to always keep the expectations to the minimum and never believe in SE's promises. No matter how much potential it had, just let this troubled project to rest, there are so many great games out there right now(and still...

The content would have to be hella substential if they're gonna ask that price. Their safest bet would be $30 tops.

I wouldn't bet on them expanding the story of the main game in any meaningful way at this point. Would definitely be great having an actually well-balanced hard mode and tweaks to Noctis's gameplay to accommodate it. Also that extensive modding support they promised way back

It looks very promising, but a bit chaotic and weightless from the gameplay demos they've shown so far. I'm sure it will all be polished up though

What I dreamed FFXV to be like gameplay-wise :( So glad we're getting DMC V tho, that game looks sick

Let's be honest, Luna is just a plot device in the game with zero real human traits. It only gets worse when they do try to force her feelings out with crying for "not being able to hear Noctis's voice just once more". Like wtf, woman, you only met once as kids for a couple of days. No matter...

A wishful thinking, but I'd really want that too (even though I no longer believe they would deliver on that front). I had high hopes for Armiger Unleashed, but it turned out to be just a better limit break mechanic rather than a full fledged gameplay replacement to the base combat. But...

These really hurt. It's crazy how many cool ideas left unrealized. And on the topic of that Million times this. The whole feedback thing really was to the game's disadvantage, imo. They clearly had fully conceptualized the game's mechanics, but then the Episode Duscae's survey came out and...

Sheesh, this game man. What's with the trend of all the great assets and ideas being swapped with so obviously inferior ones. Really makes me wonder what was the reasoning behind that. Especially considering that some of those cutscenes were already finished way back in 2014.
