Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

I can't say I disagree with the dev team seemingly being counter-productive at this juncture. I still find it quite perplexing this persistence on an alternate ending. Maybe it's a new narrative technique they want to experiment with? I recall that EP Ignis Verse 2 revealed vital lore details...

Final Fantasy XV - General News Thread

To be fair, I doubt Square-Enix is reading this board for ideas on what to add/improve. They probably are taking information from multiple sources as I stated before. It's somewhat short-sighted to expect feedback given here and only here to make all the way to SQEX HQ. Not even that, the "fans"...

Maybe they could even patch back in "Nomura's Vision".

Moreover, I see people are getting angry about the "happy ending". However, Square isn't just collecting feedback from one source. There could very well be a vocal group asking for a happier end. Possibly in Japan since I mostly see Westerners asking for main game expansions a la The Witcher.

I wonder why they are so incessent on these alternate endings? It is quite odd.

Congrats to Tabata on the new studio. He deserves it. I'm slightly sad that this means we will not be getting another Type-0 game, however. It seems this new studio will be focused on developing new IPs and/or assisting with other games in development at Square-Enix.

Takefumi Terada (director of EP: Ignis) is relatively new. Doesn't have many projects under his belt from what I could find. Glad we'll be seeing more of him. I still maintain that the greatest thing to come from this game is the allowance of new, fresh, untapped talent their time in the spotlight.

Square-Enix's marketing still needs some work. They're making real steps towards betterment. Baby steps, but steps nonetheless.

I see. Thank you for the heads up. I'll wait patiently until next week for the new Royal Edition content then.

Any streams of the Windows Edition? Surely there must be some since the Origin version of the game was cracked.

Everyone is entitled to do as he or she pleases. I choose just not to support horrible practices like Denuvo. DRM is one thing. Invasive and performance hindering DRM is another. There's a better way for consumers to be satisfied and for publishers to protect their bottom line. Just not like this.

KINGDOM HEARTS III - General News Discussion Thread

Very happy to hear that multiple composers are being used for another high-profile Square-Enix game. Very smart move on their part.

Just heard the news about Denuvo on PC. A real shame. There won't be any purchase from me until that's removed.

    The truth about FFXVersus XIII

Lightning Returns may not have the graphical prowess of its predecessors, and I still find it to be the best in the trilogy. I actually enjoyed the gameplay immensely unlike XIII and XIII-2.

    FFXV Windows Edition Demo Thread

Ah makes sense. I'm using an Xbox 360 controller and the item/jump commands are still mapped to a single button. It seems the separation is isolated just to use of the keyboard.
