YI know it's just game announcements, but it seems like S-E is actually putting their shit together. The PS4 version looks really good (thank fuck it isn't a PS3 crossgen title), although I've yet to see more character models, as I'm not way too in love with the current one. The rest looks great, UE4 can be gorgeous, and it looks, at the very least, as big as VIII. Hopefully, the speed is better this time around, which I guess it's already going to be if only because of enemies being onscreen all the time.
I really like the design of that town (can't wait to see it crowded), although I hope they work on the animations you can perform: more fluidity, more variety... I mean, I'm not asking anything like FFXV or Uncharted, but it's 2015. I hate animations like that in Tales of games, for example, really turn me off.
The main character looks alright, he's very reminiscent of VIII's hero in terms of clothing (he still is the best Hero in terms of design and all imo. III and IV's come close). I actually wondered what kind of Toriyama's hairstyle he was going to have and hoped it'd be the Future Trunks one, lol. And hopefully all characters are actually set and not ones you create like in IX.
And well, the 3DS version (great strategy on S-E's behalf, both creatively and economically) looks amazing. Maaan, the 3D/2D shit looks so cool. I'm not even that nostalgic when it comes to DQ (as VIII was the first one that arrived here in Europe and I was already 12 or so when I played it and the rest), but the oldschool artstyle is so lovely and brings so many good memories.
So yeah, really excited and confident. Hopefully they dare introducing a respectable amount of innovations and all (especially in the PS4 environment) and focus on the story and characterizations at the very least as much as VIII or IV did. Wish I had a 3DS, though
