I still find the whole verendus case mind-boggling. Neogaf pretty much had a cult of personality around him. Everyone just believed him, even when he posted that huge list with some outlandish stuff they didn't call out his bullshit.

I'd say neogaf is generally fairly gullible when it comes to leaks. I remember the previous versus XIII leak, from a year or two ago. The one that said the first game would be all in Insomnia and Stella dies at the end. That was also some 4chan bullshit but many people just took it for granted and used it as a fact in XV discussions.

Nomura would be interesting. I remember Tabata being asked one time about Nomura coming to the game release event and saying that he'd see what he could do, so I could see a video message being given in lieu of that.

I wonder if there's any context that could help narrow down who "that person" might refer to? XD;

It's interesting watching the videos they put together when you mouseover the individual titles -- starting with VII, the clips used are almost exclusively CG, outside of one random scene from XII and everything from XV. Amusingly enough, the cutscenes they show from XV (in what appears to be their unfinished Uncovered form) still effectively meet or exceed VII-XII's clips in overall visual quality, even if they're not in the same league as XIII and XIV's.

Hashimoto is a known troll, but it's hard to imagine him being the sort of figure who'd be referred to as "that person" without previous hints. XD;

"That person" could be referring to one of the main casts VA?

They've teased special guests in their ATR's before and it was usually VA's.

However if it turns out to be Nomura, or even Sakaguchi, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

Either way, very exciting stuff and greatly looking forward to what they've got in store for the future updates.

Don't know about you guys and gals, but I find myself more excited for the updates for the base game than the character DLC episodes, with the exception of Episode Ignis because he's my favourite character.

Highly anticipating that one for sure.
