I can't wait for all the fan mods "patching" back in "Nomura's Vision".
Oh lord, that's all we need. Unless they implement some fiendish little trick to keep the game mostly intact. Like anyone who excessively mods the game is faced with immortal enemies, or when you finish chapter nine and the CG cutscene ends you get a message like:
Due to interference from a higher power, Noctis Lucis Caelum died on the day of Leviathan's summoning. The world descended into darkness forever more.
GAME OVER
The player is then booted right back to the beginning again until the excessive mods are removed.
EDIT
Good luck in trying to create new lands, npcs, cutscenes, events and audio for their mods to the Nomura fans, they will need that.
Thinking about it, adding additional journal stuff into the game wouldn't be that much of a hassle (comparatively), and wouldn't be altering the core story. It would be a way of adding FNC stuff back in.

Not that I want that to happen. In fact I think it would be a mistake, and could well leave us poor PC players with the effects of SQEX being turned off PC releases by excessive modding of their product.

After playing comrades i see very little reason for the main game not allowing airdancing with more than two types of weapons in comparison. Got spoiled with the Royal Sigil lol.

So I've got a legit question here: aren't PC releases usually left until after all additions to the main game have been completed?

Don't get me wrong. It's great and all. However it makes more sense to me to release the PC version as a definitive edition once everything is all said and done.

So... any additional content such as
Story and whatnot will just be downloadable stuff for the PC version version I take it (console version too of course)

They got it kinda backwards here imo.

Not necesarilly, there has been games that had had simultaneous console and PC release and receiving extra content and update after that.

But by releasing the PC version at this stage (not all updates and extra content being done) you can charge for the potential future DLCs to come ;), like the future story DLCs (of course, that's assuming S.E doesn't release them this year)

I can't believe I writing this, but.... They've created a mobile version of FFXV. Called the "Pocket Edition", it's basically the same game with the same story, but with a redesigned world, artstyle and touch controls. And it's coming this year.
Seriously just seeing those character models and hearing the music redesign, I'm dying of shame. The XV Universe's multimedia plan needs to be a one-off. I much preferred the VII Compilation. If XVI becomes like this...

Here's the Gamescom trailer

This is... I dunno. Tbh I've never liked the whole Universe idea. Just give me one game with a fully expanded story :/

If this is all that's going to be talked about at Gamescom then I would be very disappointed. I'm hoping they prove me wrong by revealing more stuff.

Edit: on the plus side the chapter select and beastiary are welcome additions. I have multiple save files on various chapters so this frees up save slots.

They(versus fans) said they(SE) will announce sth Big. They(versus fans) thought it will be World of Versus. Che i bravi ragazzi
You have a very weird idea of Versus fans most of them saw World of Versus as another half step and outright didn't want it they just want Nomura's Versus in it's 3 game entirety not an expansion that fails again to do what XV was supposed to do.

In fact it was mainly XV fans I found talking about World of Versus and all that

Well XV clearly wasn't meant to be one game now was it? So instead of making 3 complete games telling a story with a rich cast of characters we have a one incomplete "evolving" mess of a game with a bunch of shit sprinkled on top of it dubbed the FFXV Universe where they make the entire thing up as they go along and usually not in the story making type of way I mean fucking Monsters of the Deep is considered XV Universe content WTF?

The 3 games was never going to happen so I never thought much about that at all.

However I will agree that the Universe thing is getting out of hand now and I'm not liking the direction it's heading.

Gamescom ends on Saturday (or Sunday depending where you live) so I'll wait until the end of this event. Still hoping to be very surprised.

As it is now, I'm not impressed with the contents of that trailer.

The multiplayer is coming earlier than I expected.

Re: Pocket Edition
It's just a cute inofensive mobile game, not sure what the fuzz is.
You know I love FFXV. So no hating here.

I guess the best way to explain it is even though expectations were low, I expected at least something related to story updates.

Also, SE keeps delivering content that people aren't demanding to begin with. If this was demanded, then I stand corrected because I've been out of the loop lately. However I just find it frustrating I suppose.

People have been very vocal about what they wanted, so announcements related to that would at least make people feel like they're being heard.

Not liking the Universe route since it's very segmented and inconsistent. If it all tied very well together to form a very satisfying, fulfilling and enriching experience then I'm game.

So far it hasn't delivered in my eyes and it does pain me to say this because I love FFXV. It's my fav FF game, flaws and all.

Again, the event has yet to start so there may be some surprises. I'll wait until the end of this event for now.
