Everything FFXV Datamining Related

Here's Lunafreya's convenant with Shiva.:

As well as a better translated version of one of the previous unused content back in 2018 or so.:

It is WILD to have this level of context for the whole "black is an important color for Lucis" thing. Obviously its original roots were in the Etro connection in Versus, and Lucis being a country that worshiped reapers and death. But translating that into what XV became using Ardyn's backstory is really intriguing. Really glad we got the chance to see this and it wasn't lost to time like alot of XV's story.

Reading all this is actually kinda heartbreaking. The scenes with Jared, Luna and Ravus were really necessary, I don't get why they decided to cut them (who am I kidding, I know exactly why - because they made the decision to do everything from Noctis's POV, which they didn't even keep to in the end).
These scenes and dialogues would really enrich the story and make it far less random and all-over-the-place. And it's even worse to realize that they had a chance to add all these scenes in the Royal Edition since they were revisioning the entire game, but decided to focus on stuff like the boat cruising instead. What a shame.

Them saying it was all to make everything on Noctis POV is an excuse, I think the reason is limited deadline.

There's plenty of scenes happening outside of his POV.

I don't think it's a deadline either - they had plenty of development time allocated to this game after its release to implement a couple of crucial scenes like this (like they did for Luna and Gentiana in Tenebrae). They just decided against it.
I'd also bet they had these scenes actually ready, but they were cut like the ones we saw in the Dawn trailer.

Outside of the Jared bit, none of the other are like big loses.
Ravus x Luna talk is a big loss personally, it gives a lot of context for the character and for the events in that chapter. It gives a clearer idea of Ravus motivation and of their relationship as brothers.

I checked other stuff, and there is dialogue about Ignis warning Noctis when the car's tank is close to running out of gas, or when its missing food on the cars baggage (managing it would be a thing). Also one implying King's Knight would have been playable, Prompto would ask Noctis if he wanted to play it while in the car. All of these could be answered as in accepted or denied.

Thing is that those post launch items have to be approved and they still have budgets and deadlines that need to be maintained especially since the game isn't making the same type of money a while after launch anymore. They couldn't just keep infinitely adding whatever they wanted or else by now I have no doubt they would've considerably overhauled a lot of the game with more redone segments.

The fact that things like the royal edition, the Bros' episodes, and other free content additions/overhauls exist means that they had no problem with implementing story fixes. They just had to do so within the allotted time and budget by top brass which unfortunately wasn't enough. Not to mention I'm sure Square's upper management are the ones to blame for all those limited time events/crossovers which while neat probably ate into dev time for more crucial additions considerably. I can't imagine having to make an alternate version of Altissia for a limited time event that will never be seen again while I could've been working on something that would've been more impactful and necessary to the core game in the long run.

Sure, SE's management was a part of the problem, but I don't think that's the one and only reason for those cuts and decisions to not re-implement them (especially considering how vocal fans were with the story presentation).
And it's not just about those timed events. They had numerous chances of implementing these events up until the release of the Royal Edition.
The resources that could go into creating these few, but substential scenes went into stuff like Comrades (which barely anyone plays) and boat cruising which is so uninteresting to me personally, that I haven't even touched it yet despite putting over 300 hours in this game in total across all the revisions and demos.

And something tells me, noone from SE's management pulled the directors' and producers' hands to implement specifically that content. It was just the direction that they decided to take.
