No plans for FF1 & 2 in HD any time soon

I asked Takashi Tokita, the head of division 9 if there any plans to update Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II. Unfortunately, there are not. As a result, Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II remain two of the only entries in the main series not playable in HD alongside IX, XII, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus and Revenant Wings.

The PSP/Phone version sprites for 1/2 are so high res it basically is 'HD' IMO. They also have the advantage of not being vomit inducing like the 5/6 mobile sprites!

Yeah, I have to agree with that. 1 & 2's sprites look so good.
