You don't have to pay a cent to fully enjoy this brand new FINAL FANTASY game for iOS & Android despite being free-to-play. Square Enix and DeNA have done an amazing job to turn this concept around after All the Bravest.

There's a simple but good story here, you'll be going to famous areas/dungeons in each FINAL FANTASY game and defeating monsters from those areas along with iconic bosses all in 8-bit style graphics. There is PLENTY of nostalgia here for fans.

This is a full fledged RPG, you can customize your five-person party with a large variety of weapons, outfits and more from every game in the main series. And if that wasn't enough, after completing dungeons you will sometimes unlock famous characters like Cloud, Kain and more. And no, this is not by random, the unlocks are scripted for characters. You can also find their famous weapons like Cloud's Buster Sword, however these are by random.

There's also daily dungeons to get more rare items, character profiles, nice looking cutscenes, all the classic sound effects and music and so much more.

Battling is quite traditional but quite good, especially for smartphones. You can attack, guard, use your special attacks (like Fire and Cure) and a character's signature attack once a bar has charged up. All using the classic ATB designed by the legendary Hiroyuki Ito.

There's also plenty of achievements to collect along with cloud saving, allowing you to transfer your save file to another device if you so choose.

Despite the nostalgic 8-bit graphics during battle, the game is quite pretty. There's even a brand new Cid to go with the new characters in this game.

They will also continue adding new content to this game.

There's so much to this game and it's only just been released. And again, you don't have to "pay to win". I played many battles across a couple hours and never did I once get close to having to pay a cent.

If you have an iOS or Android device, do yourself a favour and download this game.
