What a Final Fantasy Game in Amano's Style Could Look Like

Once upon a time, Kitase or someone said that Amano's style was hard to translate into 3D. Most likely because of the technology back then.

And as we all know, technology gets better as time goes by. I would say that it's possible now to create a Final Fantasy game using Amano's style. Check out this short trailer below of Deva Zan.

I think the movie project(which sounds like it may end up being a TV series instead) was announced first and then the fantasy novel was announced later.

Play the GameBoy Advance version. It is easily the superior one.

I've only played the SNES version so I can't really say.

Your other options are Final Fantasy Anthology (PSX), PSN and Nintendo's virtual console too.

Same as any 3D FF in terms of character renders. (the sort of stylized flat polygon-ish)

The short of Deva Zan looks pretty good and, as someone mentioned, a FFVI remake using a similar visual would look awesome!

I'm glad that Amano is getting more recognized. His first in-game picture in XV, now this. Hopefully he'll design a game soon.

I think if he was to do a game though it would have to be cell rendered or something.
