Well if that woman was stella then: it just doesn't seem like Stella anymore its more similar to serah from FFXIII (older version of serah).Yeah the gameplay looks good but im very skeptical about the story.. so can i hit the enemies with the car? :)
also i dont understand how this game will be "tragic".Effects looks awesome! but the textures is washed out, grass looks ugly.

I wonder why they're talking about this Luna person when it's clearly Stella who we see on the trailer... They didn't change her name after all these years, right? Luna means Moon, by the way...

And yeah I'm still watching this damn thing over and over.

Type-0 AND demo for March? I must be living in a parallel universe. Square-Enix may actually deliver on something?!

I can't pretend I'm not excited, because I bloody am. Let me work out my finances for the next half year to see if I can squeeze in a PS4 sometime when.

Yeah, her design here totally screams Namine-Serah, and I want to see how she looks re-enacting those two key scenes: confronting Noctis in the street, and meeting him by the Etro painting. It still pains me that they've ditched the original design.

Is Luna like an alias, ala Amalia for Ashe? Would seem a bit odd if they've renamed Stella all of a sudden, just as pointless as it would be to mention the name if the actual "Luna" in question isn't in the trailer.

And I also wonder how this game comes together tonally and thematically. Kingdoms are being invaded left, right and centre, treaties being broken, politics with a good dose of steel, a potential Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet setup with potential romance and likely tragic heartache, a supposedly "darker" kind of fantasy, elements of Fabula Nova Crystallis, of death goddesses and likelihood of L'Cies...and here is Noctis and company off cruising and being bros. Just makes me wonder how many of the themes designed for the old Versus XIII have survived the transition.

Only fuels my belief it's coming late 2015 with a date at the end of the demo.

Regarding the lack of footage with a proper HUD, I'm going to take a guess that it's not featuring everything and a proper trailer of it will come in December. Sadly, lol. DQ Heroes took the spotlight.

I liked:
  • Seeing day and night suggests a day-night cycle? I wonder if the weather is dynamic as well.

Iffy on:
  • Still not too hot on Stella's new design. I'm too used to her old one it seems, namely the 2009(?) one? I'm not clear on why I'm rather hung up on this, but I just adored the rather plain-ish old Stella that used to be on Kagari's avatar all the time, because paradoxically, after all the outlandish designs Final Fantasy has had for its young women, a remarkably ordinarily looking blonde woman in her twenties was a breath of fresh air. I'm not suggesting she's suddenly outlandish in her design now, but she is visibly younger, as if she's in her late teenage years now, and I don't like that standard anime body language of when a young girl or woman holds her hand by her upper chest to signify her arriving a decision. I dunno, it just doesn't seem like Stella anymore.
Yes, Nomura confirmed last year that the game would have a dynamic day-night cycle.

I'm not entirely keen on how Stella has evolved, myself. I'd say she was her prettiest around the time Versus XIII had meaningful development put into it: the 2009-2011 era. While it was inevitable for her face to be adapted hyper-realistically like everyone else, I don't at all like how her facial features have narrowed. I'm not even fond of how the whole cast has changed. I feel that the characters still have evolutions and finalizations to go through.

Something struck me about Stella particularly, though: being a classy young woman, maybe she changes her hairstyle throughout the game? I dunno, I've been subconsciously expecting her to retain her mane of glittering blond during the "meeting Noctis at the Etro painting" scene. By the time Noctis unwillingly stands her up for a date, her hair will apparently be cut short.

...Maybe Prompto cuts his hair, too?

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said yet. I woke up at 6:00 today and quickly checked NeoGAF, Twitter and then some pics of the trailer, but until five hours later I couldn't get to it. And man, what a blast with the trailer.

I loved everything, if they get to capture that artwork's mood for the game, I'll be sold (and if it turns out to be a good game, sure xD). I hope they are more upfront with more frequent updates (I think they have big ones next weeks), but yeah, they said the same a year ago. But that demo so "soon" gives hope that they're on the right track.

About Stella, yeah, her best design by far is 2009's. BUT, her design now is gorgeus, she's really, really beautiful. Actually, scracth that, I think it's my favourite design of her, although I guess she won't always have that hairstyle.

Regarding Noctis and Prompto's new designs, I liked them both, especially Noctis. Prompto looks more charismatic, and Noctis is basically the same, but small tweaks and much more detail give him a more masculine appareance, which I really welcome.

BTW, it'd be really shitty if they change Stella's name, but I don't think they will. The next logical guess would be that maybe that's the black-haired woman's name (the trailer scenes and voiceover doesn't necessarily have to match) and perhaps she's Noctis' fianceé or something (since he's a prince). Or maybe Luna is another different character lol.

So, really happy about this! Really looking forward to more info, hope it hits soon.

Her hair's been altered since the Versus days, but it's not been cut short in this trailer. She just has it tied back.

I keep watching the trailer over and over and over again. This world looks huge, I can't imagine there being any seams... This looks like it's running on actual hardware for sure, I wonder if we're getting anything else at TGS besides this trailer.

Also, can anyone provide a better translation than Google can for this?
Yes it's huge because it is made to outsize all past FFs. Lucis is the largest city in FF ever. If it's not then we can say they lied and beat them up.

Okay the quote is from SE website. it says
FF next generation to take off the veil finally
In the "Type-0 HD Final Fantasy" and "Final Fantasy XV trial version" comes decision!

"-EPISODE DUSCAE (episode Dasuka) -" as a special edited version was replaced with the deployment of some trial original beginning of the story, Hon-saku to have a subtitle that is dedicated, has decided to recorded the world's fastest. based on google translastion

Right. This indicates that the characters will probably change their hairstyles as the story progresses.

The only other game featuring this, off the top of my head, would be Tales of the Abyss...and that's only one character. Anyone think of anything else?

Speaking about that, although I doubt we'll get to choose hairstyles (it would perpetuate the boy-band joke even further lol), I think it's highly likely that we'll get different outfits (we know we'll play as a well-dressed Noctis, for example, maybe we'll get to keep the clothes).

And of course, there's that sweet DLC opportunity that SE will take for sure.

Also, when Noctis wakes up, we get to see actual HOUSES in the background! You know, HD houses! Although they look kind of abandoned (and very current era, so I guess they're near Lucis). I hope we find quite a few small villages and settlements around the world map. I think it's something confirmed (well, years ago), but you never know.
