@LeonBlade apparently there was also an EXPCast which gave you extra exp when the magic hit. Seeing now that mixing elements sort of only increases the level of the base spell unless you add another item in (which btw is still cool cause I want to cast Lightning and Blizzard in Quadcast), and thats the main deciding factor of the spells properties, I can't wait to see what other effects I can put on my magic. I hope there's like a Techcast which gives me extra AP, or like a Lootcast, maybe even an MPCast which regens MP when it hits. Hmm, I wonder if it'll ever get crazier than quadcast, like a Firaga-Thundara-Ultimatecast which like casts both spells 10 times or something broken like that.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/lessons-from-the-opening-hours-of-final-fantasy-15/1100-6443301/

new details about the beginning hours.

it seems like Wild magic is just how the fusion magic is categorized.
In the stream - the fire spell that was fused with thunder just appeared in the fire magic slot.
The stream even called it hybrid magic.

A number of the previewers also mentioned Wild magic (which you would think would be found in the Wild not by alchemy.) But never encountered it.

Not saying that this isn't how Wild magic works. It's just not enough for a confirmation.

Reading that article made me Google Vivienne Westwood wedding dresses... I'm so hungry for Luna information, I'll settle for info on her dogs... Lol The bit about Wild Magic was interesting - although I'll pass on the "dishes made of oysters and boiled crap" (probably meant crab)

Looking back at that Aranea gif made me wonder if there are different counter-attack animations for every type of enemy? That would be crazy

I think the above is the case for most, if not all, big enemies as well as bosses.

I think the enemies are grouped into classes based on size or attack patterns. The parries for each of these groups are different, but all the enemies within the same group will have the same parry. The bosses or special/unique enemies will have unique parries of their own.

The above is pure speculation based on what we've seen so far and could be completely incorrect.

Wow, I was not expecting info today. I don't pay enough attention to these schedules, so I thought TGS was next. I still have stuff to catch up on.

Should I look for an archive of the whole event, or is that they only good part? I'm seeing some Arenea chatter, and not just the part about her crotch and nipples. That all from the one thing?

The advancement systems and battle tactics are my absolute most important functions of the game and everything they are saying about it sounds absolutely amazing to me so far. This game is going to explode. I cannot wait for the reactions from some of the jaded fans. And I mean that in a good way. I think people want to love it, just won't let themselves get their hopes up until they see it with their own eyes.

I'm excited, though. The picture is still a little fuzzy but it looks like there's a lot of customization to be done. Confirmed I was wrong about being able to upgrade any weapon, but that's a good thing (btw, bio blaster! Auto crossbow! I'm going to love the machine category). Being able to upgrade everything overwhelms the choices and set-level equipment can allow for some temporary overpowered mid game effects, which are always fun.

I'm gonna stop here because I can ramble in for hours about my observations from that one 10 minute video, but i need to let it all set in.

Edit: hey, you know what game I wouldn't mind playing right now? FFXV. Lol

That magic system is giving me a nerdgasm.

Check out the long stream.

There's an optional dungeon - an optional dungeon with unique dialogue, amazing non linear design, dungeon gimmicks, boss build-up and great atmosphere.

They've went the extra mile.

And that's available at the BEGINNING of the game. What are they going to look like near the end?

They've held back a lot. Prompto's VA said as much; the story gets really dark and the guys have to lean on each other. Sounds like this game:

  • With life-like characters and a truly painful story the main theme the team wants to showcase is “Bounds” and how the characters relate to it.
  • It’s a dark and sad story which aims to show how heavy and painful the burden that the heroes are carrying is, how painful their paths can be, and how important flashes of happiness are in a world ravaged by greed and despair. The keyword for Versus XIII story is misery, and it can be applied to all main characters.

Plus, as @DrBretto pointed out, an upgradable Auto-Crossbow and Bioblaster? Tabata's favorite FF is FFVI? November can't get here soon enough, and I say that as one who hates cold weather.

I just found it. Holy shit. That was no fetch quest, that was a legit, mutil-level dungeon.

I also saw the Arenea fight. Both videos with horrible compression, though. But, the content... I'm blown away. I cannot fucking wait for this game.

Edit: found the whole thing in solid HD. See y'all in an hour or so, lol.

Also: Guitar God, this will be my 34th New England winter, and the first one I've looked forward to.

Here is a better quality video of the Niflheim base and Aranea fight. The stream you saw wasn't the best quality. The graphics overall look much better than they have looked recently. We are going to get a very good looking game.

Maybe it's on my end, but I'm getting terrible compression on all versions of it. I hope they upload a direct feed version later...

Edit: ok, that Niflheim clip is definitely better. That means there must be a better full one somewhere.

Don't know if you have seen this. Shows skill tree and some weapons. This to me is also the best example of showing that the graphics have improved quite a bit. Duscae area looks gorgeous. All the royal arms have special warp strikes too as they show a couple off in this video. Everything is looking great. This game is gonna be amazing.

Everything i've seen from the PAX and Gamescon footage makes me excited for the full release and it looks like it's all finally coming together. I'm also thinking the two month delay will be beneficial based on some of the visible improvements i've seen in this thread. Every day i spend looking at FFXV news, watching the Brotherhood episodes and now Kingsglaive. It's all i can think about and November 29th can't come soon enough

there's some ppl complaining that the skill tree looks small, but I think it's necessary to take this into consideration:

usuall in this kind of system (Sphere Grid or Crystarium) you have stat boosts, techniques and magic nodes, but in FFXV they are tied to weapons and the craft system... if you included all this in the astralsphere it would look really big.
