MOOGLE CHOCOBO CARNIVAL INFO (FROM LIVESTREAM)
• The Carnival will go live in the next 5 hours (as of this writing of course)
• You can access the Carnival from the main menu ONLY. It will be on the "Special" option.
• The Carnival requires you to load a save file (you need to have one so the items carry from the carnival to the main game, but it won't matter if you're Chapter 1 or New Game+, it can be accessed at any point)
• It won't have story spoilers, just a lot of different mini games.
• You get the carnival full for FREE, this includes new features like taking pictures from first person view in the carnival and also in the main game, new photo-frames are added, a new carnival costume and all the items you can get from the carnival will be carried over to the main game.
• For Season Pass holders, just the same as the free ones but also you get a new outfit and more exclusive photo-frames.
• This event will go from Today, January 23th/24th till February 19th/20th. So be sure to enjoy it before it's gone.
• Also, by the time the carnival goes live, in the PSN Store or Xbox Marketplace you'll find the pre-order bonuses now available to purchase (such as the FF IX daggers, or Lightning's weapon from FFXIII, even the Royal Raiment Outfit, 16-bits decal, etc...) price will be between $0.75 to $1.15 USD each depending on your region.

Jason Schreier said FFXV was one of the top pageview generators for Kotaku not long before its release, so I'd assume the slew of weird articles they've posted about the game is intended to take advantage of that known demographic.
With that said, if they're posting clickbait-y articles about the ending, they missed an even better option -- "Final Fantasy XV's ending offers more choice, consequence than Mass Effect 3's."

There are an effectively infinite number of potential photos that Prompto could take based on your actions in-game, you make hundreds or even thousands of choices in determining which ones are available at the end of the game, and you can have up to 150 different "endings" based on the state of your album at the end of the game. XD

Gotta give Tabata props for saying, essentially, that he knows the sorts of changes people would like to see in Chapter 13, but he always intended that part of the game to be stressful and uncomfortable even if the final result ended up going too far. XD
At the very least, no one can accuse him of playing it safe.

Tabata seems to have lost the plot in my opinion. Chapter 13 was not stressful. People in general didn't find it too be stressful or uncomfortable, they found it too be long winded, uninspired, rushed, messy repetative garbage. And potential upon potential gone to waste.
And if it was intentionally, go back to level design 101 please.
