cons:another endings,machina,rem, arecia,CID TRIALS,gameplay sometimes can be really boring!

overall imo it was NOT better than FF13 maybe its the same,or worse sometimes...both game have irritating characters and boring gameplay sometimes.Still not understand why so much people wanted this game on big(sony,MS) consoles.

battle system uses a high-speed ATB (Active Time Battle)

I've actually quite enjoyed this game. Probably one of my favourites along aside Tactics. It has its flaws but it's a highly enjoyable PSP game. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has an interest in trying it out.

Would you really trust his word or of others? I'd just play the game and see for myself. Personally, based on the times I've seen UNKLE make up stuff on the forums here, I'll hold off on my opinion until I see the game for myself.
Wow just wow what if i get bored with this game? lol everybody is a different person maybe you like type0 but i not for me its a borefest...

My impression

Story - Decent and needed more polish. Mature settings impress though.
Characters - Very flat! :O
Gameplay - Stunning.

I still prefer FFXIII in terms of character development.

I didn't expect this cast to be that bad.
Class Zero plays second fiddle because of the plot being more world driven rather than character driven. Machina and Rem receive slightly more development than the rest of Class Zero since they're the "main characters", but not too much more. So if you're into character driven stories then this won't be your thing as it doesn't attempt to be at any point in the story.

Huh. That's interesting, especially considering there's such a large cast of playable characters and how they wanted to focus on human struggle (or so I read on Wikipedia). Though to be fair I'm trying to stay pretty spoiler-free on this game, so I don't really know much in regards to either characters or plot. So perhaps I'm not really one to talk.

I'm being honest. I like to love the characters but something's wrong with them so I'm having a hard time loving them. Type-0 has a huge cast with varieties of personalities but neither have the strength to impress actually. I understand this because the game is very much world-driven and a PSP game.

Could you say something more about the gameplay? I'm really curious about the battle system. It looks rather action-oriented, but is it button mashing or maybe more tactical?

There are other reasons as well. However, to go into detail I'd have to enter spoiler territory.

It's a mixture of both. The battle system is very reminiscent of Crisis Core (same director) so if you liked that game you'll enjoy this one. I personally found the overall gameplay lacking some polish in some areas. Some battles are too heavily dependent on the lock-on feature and the RTS-esque sequences give an incomplete feel causing frustration. This will all be addressed in the HD remake, hopefully. The current Square-Enix seems like it's a bit more open to fan feedback then previously before.

Well. It rather has RTS feels than tactics. Battle has several variations.
  1. Action-oriented (A little bit button mashup)
  2. Capturing bases
  3. Managing armies (on world map)
  4. Timed quests
It's the fasted ATP I had ever played! The only let down is its own 14 characters. They have their own fighting style. Your gameplay will drastically change as you choose different combinations. And it's hard to level up all of them though. Only characters you bring to the field will get level up.
