Yes it was. Who did you think was the publisher?
In Japan they were correct.

Then I'll take your word on that for those games. I do have a strong impression Nintendo Europe were the ones to push to get BD in the West, though. Why else would Europe get it 2013 and NA in 2014?
We got off topic somewhere.

The point is I hope Sony has someone to fight for this

Gio Corsi and Shahid Kamil.
Exactly. I want to see the results from those guys, so we can praise them. They would deserve it all

Exactly. They funded it. It's their property. It's the same situation as The Last Story.

The website is even hosted on their domain. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/yasj/
So they missed 1 or 2 games. They still published about 30 rpgs in the last 8 years in the states lol. They have done an amazing job.

At this point I hope anyone takes type zero. People will respond

Square Enix will never allow any third-parties to distribute Type-0. They want control over their brand.

Ignition actually offered to localise Blood of Bahamut for Square Enix once, but they were declined.

One of two things need to happen to make me happy. Allow a download for PS3/4, or Sony releases the Vita tv in NA in time for the game to come out here. My hands are kinda messed up and while I have zero problems with a controller, I think the Vita would pose some problems for me. Plus I'd MUCH rather play this on a TV

It's not like Square Enix wouldn't distribute the game. Sony could just offer an... incentive to do so. Bigger cut of the pie or something.

I would want it as a digital release so I can play it on my PSVita, if it doesn't come out to the states that's fine, IMO the fact that its not in the west only hurts SE image as a company. I know the story but I just want to play it and geek out with my friends about it.

Digital download on Vita would suit me very well. I already own the Japanese version (which I transfered to my Vita too) and it's awesome as it is. Of course, I'd like it even better if they'd release a HD version. Ever since I played the game on a PSP emulator on my computer, I've been looking forward to an HD port.

If I could choose I'd like an HD version of the game for both PS3 and PSVita, but I won't be disappointed if they just release the exact same PSP version with english text and voiceover, aka localized, on PSN XD

Release it for the PS3 or the PSP. I have no vita, and I will crap gunblades if they release it solely for that. I wouldn't mind if it was released for the Vita, but oh god I do need to play this game so much for a variety of different reasons, and I am going to cry if I cannot play it. (Or cry and ask for it for a graduation present or something.) Seeing as the original was for the PSP, I'd be also a bit angry for that reason as well if it wasn't released for the PSP. :|

While this thread asks what we would like to see happen to Type-0, the actual reality is that Tabata said (in the USgamer article in the OP) he would like to distribute it in the West soon via PlayStation Network. I know this doesn't explicitly confirm he meant a PSP release, but it does imply it due to the sole fact they want to distribute it digital only. If say, they were planning a Vita port, then Square Enix would be distributing it physically as well, not just digitally.

So with that said, I can guarantee you they don't plan to port Type-0. It will be localised only for PSP via PlayStation Network. Also remember that even if it were getting ported to another platform, this would mean a new release for Japan too. And since nothing has been announced for Japan at this time, the chances are pretty certain that the West is only getting it for PSP.
