Why exactly Onion Knight is call like that? cause as far i can remember the main character has a name(though i haven't finish FFIII yet), unless for plot reason ?

I personally would like to see them embrace more spin-off leads before they touch peripheral party members, to be honest.
I wouldn't say no to that. Certainly a lot to choose from.

The original game didn't have fixed characters with names - you were all a group of 'Onion Knights' that could be manually named immediately, like the original FF1. The DS remake went for a more 'original character' approach to fill the roles to better tell the story, I guess.

Dissidia has always used the original Onion Knight design and idea, rather than the main character of FF3 DS.

Hmm. Looks like quite a budget is going into this, as it doesn't look too bad. They'd be daft not to have plans for at least a console digital download version of this for western markets, and I don't believe they're that tone deaf to demand, given the legs this would have.

Y'shtola being FFXIV's representative isn't very surprising. It was either going to be her or...uhh, Yda? The game isn't exactly brimming with marketable characters on the side of the heroes. I'm more interested to see who they pick to be the villainous counterpart. I suspect Nael Van Darnus might be a bit too err, esoteric for players who have only been playing the game from 2.0 (which would be most of us).

Here's hoping the Arcade version does well enough to warrant a PS4 port in the future. That's all we westerners have got I'm afraid.
