Adjusted the poll a bit; lumped 1-3 together due to the number restriction.... but, er, my answer...

Revisiting-wise, 8 and 9. Both of these games have many, many layers of things - mechanical and otherwise - that really give each a lot to rediscover. In the case of 8 it's mostly mechanical - the story falls apart the more you look at it, but the mechanics under the hood can be used (and, it has to be said, abused) in some fantastic ways to brilliant effect. In FF9, the story is far more nuanced than any first glance ever impresses upon the player.

I want to go the reverse too: The ones that I've found to be the least satisfying to revisit has been 13 - where the at first interesting battle system is less so a second time around, and the lengthy introduction goes from brow-furrowing to infuriating on a second run. The level up system has meant I've never returned to 2, either.

Right now i´m revisiting 6,7,8,9,10,10-2 and 12.

FFVI : Mech-wise theres not much to say it plays like any standard ATB, customization with the espers has some sort of deep. Plot & characters is well develop (minus optional characters) but the contribution of some characters to the story stops during the World of Ruin section. I finally can say without fear that Kefka>>>Sephiroth.... in the overrated category, i still fail to see why the westerns say Kefka is so well writen (and why they like him). I´m with the japanese players, he´s anooying.

FFVII : Something similar to VI but i personally found the materia system has more deep (custom wise), the optional characters have some development and backstory (though their contribution dont change the plot) and the story is as well done as in VI. Sephiroth suffers a bit of villan decay by the later parts of the game but not a deal breaker thing.

FFVIII : The mechanis are so beatiful to abuse and it leads to some fantastic results, like LV7 Zell dealing 9999 per attack !(most broken of all characters if used well). The plot is a bit week comparared to its predecesors but i still enjoyed it , i´m aware of the flaws though.

FFIX : This must be the one where i couldn´t stand (though it didn´t anger me) the battle system at least in the long run, even with the fastest setting its still so slow i think its the one of all 3D FF games that has the longes animation when it comes to perform certain actions and spells, moreover the trance system is a bit poorly implemented. When it comes to the plot its the same as with VI and VII its well writen though characters that are not name Zidane,Garnet or Vivi stops contributing or becomes irrelevant by the end of Disk2 or begining of Disck3.

FFX : This one is probably the one that i have the less problems and had most the pleasure with in my revisiting. I don´t have too much to add but the only thing that distubed me was the lenght of some cutscenes, special mention for those prior to boss fights.

FFX-2 : The plot this time is not as shiny as X but it was still enjoyable and i still don´t understand why many say its stupid (yes its not as good as X but still i never saw something stupid in this game). The Job system and leveling is pretty fun and has some interesting customization.

FFXII : The plot wasn´t as bad as i remembered i kinda like and appreciate it now (maybe because i like politic now), the battle system is very dinamic and customizable and is very well paced and license system is an interesting addition into the mix.

Final observations :
VI,VII,IX,X,XII have some bonus points for having some amount of thoughtful elements in their plot, each one well done in their own right, as to which did it better thats debatable but thats not something to discuss now. The gripe being mostly in the plot, most common being that the third act suffers from a bit of plot fatigue and prolongs far more than needed to reach the conclution.

Overall i enjoyed this experience and this was a long text , lol.

If you're going to re-visit the XIII series then I recommend playing Lightning Returns alone. Arguably has one of the best battle systems in the franchise. Extremely underrated in my opinion. The non-existent narrative notwithstanding.

Very interesting views by everyone I currently have just finished playing FFX And X-2 for the 3rd Time on the ps vita and feel I now cannot do anything more in the game

My First final fantasy was 7 and I'm now playing this game for the 3rd time I've played 8 and 9 also twice the one I really want to revisit is 12 as I feel the game had so much to offer there were so many big places to visit the story was okay I enjoyed the monster hunt game as I clocked over 200 hours on this game more than any other FF but I feel we won't see this game again especially for the ps vita, as for 13 I have no desire to revisit this game any time soon

It's not really an enticing poll. What is the favorite game I've revisited? Is that any different from my favorite FF game?
Not to mention similar votes have been done many many times.

Anyways, for me, favourite to revisit means replay value. For me, the most replay value FF is VI, as there's always different combinations of the cast you can play the game with.

X of course. But I still haven't played V-IX. Haha. Come on PS4 ports!
Whoa, missing a lot of classics there.

Yes, sadly. Waiting on the PS4 port of VII and hoping VIII and IX follow.

Well... The Japanese version made him sound like a child. The western version made him dark.

@Squirrel Emperor I played the english version on GBA (not sure if the english localization of Kefka on the SNES differs from the GBA) but i still found Kefka annoying and not so great as the fandom prices him to be.

Well... The Japanese version made him sound like a child. The western version made him dark.
I´m starting to feel some pity for those fans admiring a false figure surrounded in lies.

I imagine why most people like Kefka is because of his actions and stage presence. He was simply evil for evil's sake and made being a villain fun. He's not really a deep and complicated character and he doesn't have to be. His actions are enough to tell players that this madman must be killed as he enjoys the pain of others and loves to watch the world crash and burn.

Most villains back in the day followed the same blueprint. Trite dialogue, same clothing, talked and acted the same, same intentions, always waiting for a group of warriors to come and stop them, waiting to reveal their evil plans of destroying the world towards the end of the game, no personality. Hell, we still see some villains like that today.

Kefka was not like this. He was quite the opposite and it helped made him stand out. Emperor Gestahl was like this but Kefka was not.
