System-wise I would rather get a PS4 first, but the two next-gen launch games that I really wanna play are both XBO exclusives: Crimson Dragon and Dead Rising 3. So it looks like I'm getting the Xbox first. I usually end up getting all the consoles eventually, though. Maybe I'll get enough Christmas money to buy PS4 shortly after; I do really wanna play Knack as well. Being the Panzer Dragoon fan that I am, I simply must have Crimson Dragon day one. Heh, it's funny that this is the most important game to me, yet it's barely even on most people's radar.

I've already picked up a Wii U, so I'll be waiting a bit on the other releases, until at least they go down in price/have a sale/have games I really want. I have enough old games to tide me over, anyway :p

Most likely the PS4, but that will be a while off yet. There's nothing really compelling at launch anyway, and I'll advise people to wait at least a year into the machine's life cycle before picking it up, when it's got time to build up a decent starting library of software.

Apart from TitanFall at the moment (ignoring the fact it's also on 360 and PC), Microsoft's one significant trump card over Sony is Kinect 2.0, and how apparently it will deliver on experiences unattainable on PS4. I frankly don't give a toss about Kinect!

Own a Wii U and will get a PS4 down the line. I'll probably wait to get it until a game I want for it comes out.

No plans to buy a XB1. Killer Instinct is the only thing that interests me(fun times with the SNES game). In fact, Rare was a big reason why I bought XB and XB360 in the first place.

That didn't turn out so well...

I already have a Wii U, but hopefully I can pick up a PS4 soon. Not sure if it's worth it at launch still. It got no games that I want so far coming any time soon.

Amen to that. I spent 300 dollars on PS Home in the past 3 years, i'm not about t switch to the PS4 when there is nothing about PS Home coming to it or anything.

Will be getting a PS4 sometime early next year. May get a Wii U the winter of next year too.

So it's transpired this week that Microsoft very likely transferred a significant few vans' worth of dollars to EA behind Respawn's back, and EA accepted the deal, telling the Titanfall developers at the last minute to scrap the PS4 version and make the game unambiguously Microsoft exclusive. That's at least what I think happened, so please correct me otherwise.

Anyone else thinking this is a shite thing to do? Money-hatting for timed exclusives and content is one thing, and then there's just strong-arming someone into giving up making a port for a competitor's console.

Plus this means three-quarters of the potential Japanese audience for a game with walking, hulking mechs have evaporated.

Don't know about the force part but I don't see the big deal about getting the game as an exclusive. Microsoft wants people to buy XB1(even though this is coming to XB360 and PC) and exclusives are a great way to do that.

You'd be surprised about some of the things that goes on behind the scenes in the game industry. These things are suppose to be kept a secret for a reason.

Now that my vacation has started I was finally able to spend some real time on my One last night.

My system is so far so good as far as the known hardware issues go. I don't have an actual Xbox One game disc to test since right now I only own Killer Instinct and Crimson Dragon, but blu-ray discs play fine so I suppose the disc drive okay.

First, as a collector's of all tings videogame related, I have to comment on the box/packaging for the day one edition: It's one of the best there's ever been. They really made it quite nice. It would have been smart of Microsoft to make this the standard box as it's much more attractive than what is currently.

The console itself isn't quite as big as I thought it would be. It still has some size to it but I don't hate it. I like the design of it much better in person than I did looking at pictures and videos. Again, though, I think it was an ass-backwards decision to make black the standard color. That rare white Xbox One looks great, and white really compliments the console's design much more than the black does.

So, it's been a few weeks - how do those of you who decided to jump in on one of the two next gen consoles feel about your purchases? Happy? Regrets? Annoyed at the game drought? I'm curious...
