Spill the beans, what are your favorite series? You won't be crucified if it's not Final Fantasy*!

*I cannot guarantee your safety if it's not Final Fantasy

My personal favorites are Dragon Warrior/Quest, Ys, and Fire Emblem. Dragon Quest because of its style and (well, used to be) adherence to the past, Ys because of the fun frantic and rewarding gameplay, and Fire Emblem for more reasons than I can explain.

Outside of Final Fantasy, I've been a pretty big fan of the Soul Blazer series. Really because I don't get into SMT or Tales. Oh, and definitely love the .hack and Xeno series.

I have always been a big fan of the
  • Final Fantasy
  • Kingdom Hearts
  • Star Ocean
  • Tales of'
I would say pokemon would be one of them as well but HG/SS and backwards. I dont really care for the newer ones after that point. Just wish they would make another Star Ocean :\ I for one loved the Last Hope.

Honestly, Final Fantasy is about the only RPG series which I care about hugely. Mass Effect has had a huge impact on me, as well.

I play other RPGs but I don't really have any other 'favourites' as such, because I've mostly only played one or two in the series.

I loved Persona 4 so I would definitely be inclined to get Persona 5. I've played a couple of Tales games, but they've been far too cliched with annoying VA for me to properly like them. Valkyria Chronicles was pretty good. If people throw Yakuza in the RPG mold, then I really like those, too.

But the all out favourite is easily FF, where I'll buy almost every game day one.

Shin Megami Tensei Series (including Persona, Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner, Devil Survivor, etc.) - mainly because they're a different style compare to the Traditional JRPG

Tales of... Series - I'm an avid anime watcher and the games are both very fun to play and their characters are always entertaining to follow, also the Drop-in/Drop-out Co-op makes for an interesting Playthrough when you're playing with friends.

Final Fantasy - I enjoy knowing that every new entry to the series is a new story with a new cast of characters along with different gameplay mechanics which makes it feel like it's not the same game everytime.

Kingdom Hearts - sometimes I'm in this series for the Disney Nostalgia and other times I'm in it because I want to see how these 3 Kids who grew up on an Island can have such an interesting journey through different worlds.

Valkyria Chronicles - I love my strategic warfare games, and this series has such an interesting concept that I know I'm gonna have fun with it.
