You beat me to this, but yeah NC Twitter reported it's in the pamphlet
https://twitter.com/Nova_Crystallis/status/766080726865502208?t9

I (like @Kagari) thought it was out. But it keeps seeming like so much of the wire-framework of Versus remains...And because of that, I am compelled to rant one more time. I thought sure I had finally made peace that Versus is dead, yet here we go again. We are continually told of bizarrely inconsequential details during ATRs and shown terrible trailers.
With the 50 min video, yet again we are being told something different from before. Just a few months ago, we were again shown the concept art of Insomnia as representation that the game DOES begin there, now we are told/shown it does not (well not really, lol).
I swear to God, Tabata is influenced by more than just the costumes/actors of GOTs... He has watched too much of THOSE ep of season 3, because those of us that remain who wanted Versus and keep thinking it's dead or gone, get teased again that it's (maybe not). Latest is (light of expiring souls..is still a thing... is the Goddess still basically Etro!!??!) Really? Its hard to believe cause everything seems so different, generally!! The part of me that's still sorta-sane thinks that logically all the misinformation and conflicting info/deception about the game is because they are still holding so much of this game back and under wraps. Even saying they are showing the whole beginning of the game when they may not be.
I'm not bitter I almost don't care anymore, almost.. does this mean (vague reference to GOT)
Us horrible Versus fanatics have almost completed our transformation?
the 2month delay doesn't help, lol! Hopefully it will help fix graphics/performance. Gonna see KG on Fri!
Eh, the game was always basing its story framework around Versus. This doesn't come to a big surprise to me, but it is a surprise none the less.

So, regarding the screens above.. The Duscae screens actually look better....Then again it could be down to lighting and time of day innacuracies.
It makes it tough to evaluate for sure. Someone posted some SS comparisons of GFaqs in Duscae that, to me, made the new footage look better than the CG footage from E3, and I'm pretty sure it's just because of the time of day casting better shadows.

But, after skimming through one of the threads on it on NeoGAF today, first, I don't think I even want to bother getting posting rights there anymore, lol. But, the hyperbole is so ridiculous, I'm almost hoping for an ever bigger downgrade just to piss them off more. It think despite being imperfect (oh no!) the game looks great. I couldn't give less shits about the 'IQ' that everyone there seems to be obsessed with.

If the difference is so subtle that you can't tell if it's the lighting or not, then it's not bad enough to lose any sleep over.

Exactly. Having grown up playing Final Fantasy, (I'm 30) looking at FFXV is just a frickin' dream. I would be really happy with the final version looking like the 50 minute video we saw, or even Duscae.

Also, keep in mind that the ones from the video are also the Xbox version, so if the other screenshots are from PS4, there's going to be a disparity there anyways. But, the lighting is a big key factor here, you can see it's brighter in the Duscae screen shots.

tbh I've never even heard of this "IQ" thing before, but with this game everyone and their mother started complaining about it.

But now that I know what it is, I admit it's kinda bad
I don't play screenshots.

Nor do I particularly care what the foliage off in the distance looks like. When you're PLAYING the game, you're looking at what you're doing, not counting the pixels in the textures on the mountains. It looks like they're prioritizing the right stuff at least.

I'd love for the game to looks super photorealistic, but that ain't happening on a vanilla PS4. I've processed it and accepted it and there's nothing left but hype. Hell, when I get my PSNeo and the game gets a patch, it's just going to feel like a free remaster. I'm cool with that.

*Edit: Not saying it's not downgraded, BTW. Just that I accept it, and it's being overblown. It still looks pretty damn good.

This makes me wonder how much the FFVIIR IQ will be hit on the current gen console :/
That's a stellar question, actually. At the very least VII:R has the benefit of an engine that's been proven to be efficient and very adaptable. It's unclear how much of XV's difficulties might be able to be chalked up to Luminous. I hope little to none as SE making their own engines is what's let them push their games so hard up to now. Either way, with UE and the benefit of SE having worked hard on a current gen game, IQ for VII should hopefully be a brighter prospect.

Yeah, considering that they're using UE4, that VII-R is most assuredly nowhere as big as FF XV and that it's going to be distributed in smaller packs (so tighter experiences), I'd say that we're going to be looking at a more pleasing game from a visual perspective, at least in the overall package.

For example, I don't think the game is going to be as ambitious as XV is being in regards to animations, lighting... (unless they, well, want to; especially if they can port some Luminous features into the game), so I think we're in for an, overall, more polished experience.

If they manage to reach a level of quality similar to what was shown last year, I'd be very satisfied, as it looked visually great despite not being the best thing ever (especially at times, like during the infiltration scenes. The combat scenes and the cutscenes looked absolutely fantastic, though, especially the one with Cloud sorrounded). In CC2 and Epic we trust.

It annoys me that I legit had to google what IQ is because so many people are "complaining" about it in regards to this. TBH. I think it's at an acceptable quality, because images in motion always look better. I can understand WHY people are making a fuss about it. I just don't think that we should be, and that we should be happy that they've managed to make it look this good on Consoles, it looks way better than Witcher 3 does.

I think these two months will be more about getting a completely stable 30fps for the whole game, and then it'll probably be about better AA.

Well, I think it's okay people are complaining, and this comes from someone who really doesn't like hearing any negativity about this game. However, there are people that are taking it too far. Overall, the game looks great and boasts a lot of incredible tech. Unfortunately, the current generation consoles can't keep up with the amount of power that the engine has to offer. I imagine they will clean it up more before release, and you can expect a far better looking/performing version on the newer models of the PS4 and XBO as well as a stellar PC release.

A quick and dirty ED and 'Mastered' version comparison(not super accurate. I was too tired to take exact location screenshots)
I saw direct video of square enix press 8gb . and the big difference between this version ps4 and xbox . the ps4 this with much better resolution and quality graphical as well.
and these images above this the parts where the xbox was running alone, these low are the ps4 version

As much as I would like to see a better IQ, AA, and overall better graphics. I gotta say, its unrealistic to expect that sort of thing from the current console hardware. Its very outdated compared to PCs these days so no wonder the game will look like it is now with the scale they're aiming for, at the end of the day its not Uncharted 4 or even the Witcher 3, its much much bigger than that. Unlike Gaf, I don't blame the engine for the visual short comings, the game looked amazing in the PC footage and that when it wasn't even running on a high end PC. I think we will probably get a better version on the Neo, which I will end up getting just for FFXV.

However, if there is no Neo version then the only thing that I really want is a better performance and frame rate because THAT will truly affect my game-play and overall experience of the game. I don't give a fuck if my game looked pretty but ran like shit, I honestly don't want another No Man's Sky situation with FFXV. So I've pretty much accepted that fact as a PC version is inevitable and that's where I will want the best visuals they can offer.
