Im making assumption yes. It's the only thing I can do by not watching it and having watched other previews of the series being presented by people who are not familiar with it.
....Guess I'm also assuming he's not to familiar with the series.
No, it's just that I didn't find your comments funny. More towards disrespectful. Of course, I'm also someone who doesn't have a good sense of humour, so forgive me if there was some misunderstanding somewhere.

It wasn't meant to be funny.
I was genuinely asking does he make those generic overused tired old 'jokes'?
And if so then it's probably not my kind of comedy.

And I'm saying that I guess I made an assumption that he is not familiar with the series or a fan from what little I know of the guy and from the comments made toward the video.

I meant no disrespect toward the man. Just want to avoid watching XV related stuff so I can't comment more thoroughly on the content(only with what little or know of the content outside actually watching it).

Guys, its just a joke.

Oh, and for people questioning PR moves. The video on YouTube is overwhelmingly positive and a lot of people saw it that might not have seen it otherwise. This doesn't deserve to turn into a discussion of "was this a good choice" or people using this as an excuse to bash or praise a game... it's just a joke.

Alright, cool. Yeah, he isn't familiar with Final Fantasy or the tropes that come with it. His jokes do tread along those lines, but they're honestly not as generalised as you'd imagine. Might still not be your kind of comedy though, and as evident already in many others, him poking fun at FFXV so aggressively might just put you in a dour mood.

Okay, out of curiosity I watched his clueless gamer witcher 3 video.
Well, it's definitely not my cup of tea. Kinda predicted already what 'jokes' he'd be making.
He has come character to him though and a easy to listen to voice.

You know what would have been really funny while also balancing out some of the negativity?

If one of the Squenix people had shown him a video of some really flashy combat at the end, leading to Conan furiously demanding, "Why didn't you let us play that?!"

The way this stuff works (I know from other publishers who have had games on Conan) is that the publisher (IE SE, Bethesda) picks the segments/bits they want to show, pre-prepares save files for jumping around, etc. So they very likely chose what to let them play. Obviously the show then edits from that, but the sections will very likely have been picked specifically by marketing. (IE: CD Projekt's Marketing team played a blinder by making sure they got Conan to see one of Witcher's sex scenes.)

I kind of assumed that would be the case. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they couldn't have found a way to show some of the combat system's potential even if they didn't trust him to be able to pull any of it off. *shrugs*

Saw this last night - Was rather funny.

No one actually thinks they were being serious right? The guy is a comedian...not someone a developer would give a game to actually get their opinion on.

Okay so I haven't watched the video because I've never been a fan of Conan (more of a Craig Feguson guy myself) but I accidentally went into the GAF thread for this, and I've read about it here as well, what's this wedding dress thing? Like...what's the whole deal with it and why is it such a big thing? (An extra challenge, try explain it without spoilers :p)

I asked about it, and and we get into conclusion that is not manly enough to check out wedding dresses. Without context its mayble looks like that. But we have to put in mind thats a royal wedding of prince and princess, so probably just uninformed people freaks out about nothing. I don't understand that complain too, maybe because i already know the context of this scene?
