Regarding the DLC, there's an obvious trend we might be able to see in game.

i do realize overall is better but imo FFXV shits on the Witcher combat, ost and art direction.
Imma agree with this.

Always liked the Japanese designs and art direction over western ones so that's me being biased I suppose. Medieval is ok but it's been done to death in western games.

sure, FFXV it's original in the way it blends fantasy and reality (and modernity with old cars and medieval cities); it feels fresh in so many ways compared to most games out there it's not even a comparison.

I think the overall game is fresh and unique as well.

Don't know of too many games that had road trip themes, crystals, empires, classic monsters, magical rings and flashy combat all shoved into one xD

the road-trip is a stand-out, they've nailed it the feeling; the focus of camaraderie; american styled deserts and outposts on a JRPG

the list goes on

there's no game like this one/using the same themes in the market

It also helps that based on my launch experience XV's technical issues aren't anywhere near the degree of TW3's launch days if we factor in crash occurences and framerate (which a certain later patch or two made the latter worse on both console somehow before addresses were further made)

So wait. I'm not fully understanding this. Were those leaks from the Versus days under Nomura or the XV under Tabata?

Heh, I'm also quite biased when it comes to FF.

The FF games just give me the feeling other games can't manage.

That being said, the witcher 3 shits on FFXV from the highest of towers I'm the departments that matters most to be in rpgs: story telling, character development, world building and overall immersion.

The stuff with Noct unknowingly killing the heroine before the game begins was from the Versus era. Everything else after was about the team failing to be able to realize their full ideas for FFXV

There is this part I recall when you are obtaining Ramuh where you encounter the deamon Naga. It asks where it's baby is.

So this must of been human mother whose kid was taken away probably by Nifleheim when they were abducting tons of people for experimenting on :(

Btw when she asked me I chose "I know whee your baby is" instead of "I can't help you". She attacked me immediately.

I wonder what happens if you chose the other option?

if the leak is true.

stella is there on the ceasefire party in imsomnia, that was the beginning.

maybe that was another change in the story.

she attacks you lol

That was the point, you apparently are only seeing her ghost there, because noctis could see the dead. But yes, if it is true lol

Regarding the DLC.

Just gimme Luna&Ravus DLC.
Either that or just expand the game in Altissia and Tenebrae. She should be a guest party member there and you should be able to explore parts of Accordo with her. Give her the time she needs to make her impactful before she gets killed off. Same with Ravus. If you make Tenebrae more open, perhaps you could have an earlier bossfight with him there. He needs to encounter the party again, its just silly that they meet him once in Ch. 5 and thats it until he's practically dead.

I honestly hope that this is part of their mid term goals. They specifically said "scenarios" and not just cutscenes, so perhaps there are extra gameplay segments within the second half. And if there are, the only way you can do that is by expanding the areas because the game literally turns into a corridor after chapter 9. The way I see it, these are things they could have been working on since before release, and I really hope it is so. They seem to be listening to fan feedback and definitely one of the biggest complaints is the lack of exploration opportunities in Altissia/Accordo, Tenebrae, and Gralea.

Have a feeling the DLC's will be pretty sizable. Him getting another scar can have you either experience a flashback as to how he got that first scar in Insomnia, so potentially flashback scenes in each DLC, similar to Brotherhood, perhaps playable? Other than that, hopefully he's traveling to Galahd and it makes it a new open area to explore post game.....and I hope he gets the scar from Glauca, if he's not dead (it didn't even look like he died in KG, just injured). There's just so much storytelling potential for him to fight Glauca. Revenge for killing the King and the Crownsguard including his father would have extremely good payoff, especially since they didn't add the character to the main game. Also give background for what kind of man Clarus was. GOD I really hope these DLC's are cutscene heavy. We need it more than ever with this game.

Edit: Thinking about it now, they all could actually fight characters that technically didn't have important storylines in the game. Ignis could have been injured by Ravus, since he was there in Altissia, but you never see him again after. Like seriously, what was he doing during the entire Leviathan fight? I have a feeling he was dealing with Ignis at the time. Same with Prompto, we get that 1 little hint that he is related to Verstael in some way, but they never explore it. I have a huge feeling he'll be Prompto's final boss in his DLC.

IMO
Nah, Luna as guest or either interactions with adult Noctis would ruin their tragic and dramatic relationship. Luna is like symbol that always out of reach for Noctis, childhood sweethearts is pretty standart trope for japanese people.
But if they show all the stuff she did before Altissia, awakening gods for Noctis, her relationship with brother, it would be awesome.
Ravus motivation is pretty clear, they wanted to show that he is a dick, but in the end all he cared about was her sister, and he just though that Noctis is not worth of her sacrifice that why he did what he did, that why he hate him. He even tried to get burden of a Chosen King, by putting ring on himself, but got denied by gods. I really wish they expand Luna and Ravus relationship, its really beatiful.
Also her relationship with Gentiana too, there is alot of stuff that they can do just by adding simple cutscenes :p

well, this is really something lol

the bit about noctis killing luna but not remembering match the Omen trailer, which was said to be created around plot concepts.

this project is... fascinating, the bad an good parts (loving the game anyway, and hope to have the deleted content available later); im truly curious to see the "definitive" FFXV.

edit:

"The game had barely 3 years of development time."

84 meta, one more year and it would be 90 ;P
If any of that's true, Tabata is a goddamn miracle worker. And I really hope they restore a lot of that cut content (again, if true) - which is why I still have a Chapter 9 save.
