The statement below pic related matches your current behavior, IIazy. This forum isn't a personal blog.

XV has shown success, with more than a handful of people that have genuinely enjoyed it more than you do, even with flaws. No amount of dismissive "it didn't deserve XYZ" commentary is.going.to.change.that.

NPD - FFXV had the best US launch month in franchise history

https://twitter.com/MatPiscatella/status/822226061928775680

FFXV in the top 10 best selling 2016 games in US

https://twitter.com/ZhugeEX/status/822228553710309376

FFXV was THE #1 top selling PS4 title of December 2016

https://twitter.com/MatPiscatella/status/822224934470455296

The title sold 19% more new physical units than Final Fantasy XIII in its launch month and 54% more in total dollar revenue including FGD.

What a treat!
Heh, so it seems like the UK sales weren't representative of the game's sales potential in the States after all. FFXV almost certainly benefited from being treated as a December game rather than a November one in this particular comparison, but the last ZhugeEX tweet shows that it didn't just get lucky.

Final Fantasy XIII's launch month had it selling 828,000 copies on PS3 and 493,000 copies on X360, for a total of 1,321,000 copies. Selling 19% more copies than that means that FFXV would have sold nearly 1,572,000 copies in the US alone, nearly doubling the game's Japanese sales.

It's worth pointing out that, given the intense discounts the Standard Editions received from many of the major retail outfits, the 54% increase in revenue implies that a significant portion of the copies sold were Deluxe Editions.

Especially even after skipping Black Friday.

XB1 version also reached #3 in the top 10 best selling XB1 games of December 2016.

Final Fantasy is back.

I think this is the most incredible part. Everyone was sure that the XBO version was going to bomb. I guess that the prerelease "fire sale" tactic ended up paying off. XD

This game didnt deserve those sales, but I hope they use the money to make the next ff good or the unlikely Versus Reboot.
The fact that thousands of people played the game, greatly enjoyed it, and are highly anticipating the upcoming DLC and other content SE has in store says that, yes, this game did deserve those sales.

Objectively speaking, the results (the only thing that matters tbh) speak for themselves. Opinions don't matter in the slightest.

If you are that disappointed with the game... why do you come here at all? You're only exposing yourself to something that is making you feel shitty all the time. A normal person would avoid something that makes them feel bad to protect their emotional state... unless you're a masochist?

For the life of me, I genuinely do not understand why people keep exposing themselves to something they don't like, only to complain about it constantly.

Cause I want to talk about Final Fantasy and its future? I like having discussions here. If I criticize the game and someone wants to tell me Im wrong or right that fine. I got over the game being disappointing but I still want to discuss it. Gamefaqs is crap and dont have a neogaf account. Ive been on this forum since 2014 and its great. But really if you dont like what I write or anything you can block me I guess.

If you want to have discussion IIlazy77 then let´s have a discussion, begining with this:

Why XV didn´t deserve these sales?
I will probably edit this post and explain it in depth further but for now I will give you these points

1. deception in marketing (showing off Tenabre the train station the dawn trailer in trailer despite in not being in the game) (Tabata saying the game takes 50 hours to complete the main story yet it only takes about 20.)
2. Squares Mismanagement(showing the project too early, and other problems with mismanging XIII and XIV and not giving Versus good amount of people for the team at the time of development and kicking Nomura off the project at the very end, even thought it was square fault mostly at mismanagement that versus only got to 25% completion)
3.Releasing the game in 2016 when im sure even the devs knew that it needed way more time.
4.Even thought the game is incomplete giving making us pay for more content like dlc's (if the free content is only cutscenes this will make this point weigh more
5. Not developing Characters correctly and having some characters have no pretense at all and story being obviously incomplete. (This is the final fantasy that feels the most obviously incomplete, this is not a state you release a mainline final fantasy in)
6. Tabata saying hes delaying the game for no day 1 patch, yet there is a big one
7. Still No PS4 pro update despite Tabata saying December.

Ilazy77 is entitled to his opinion. I'm sure a lot of people would say the same thing about CoD: IW, which was actually the #1 game overall.

I did try the game, but not enough to form an informed opinion on it. However, I think it's great the game was successful, since it means a lot for the future of the franchise.

I like having discussions here
Discussions I enjoy. I wouldn't say that your posts incite discussions since they don't vary from "I'm disappointed that they cut content and it's not Versus".

Your posts are literally just this x1000, rinse and repeat into eternity.

I honestly wouldn't have any issue with your posts if you actually posted something different for a change. You repeat the same thing in every thread, sometimes to the point of ignoring the topic of the thread just to spin it around into a "cut content" and "Versus" thread.

You've even done that on some of my threads.

I got over the game being disappointing
No...you have not.

It seems like I'm having a go at you lately, but honestly? How can we have discussions if you aren't willing to make conversations interesting by contributing new insights and something other than negativity all the time?

You're right, this place is great. The reason why it's great is because the people here know how to converse properly - meaning they offer new insight and write posts that people want to respond to and engage with. They don't copy paste the same negative shit 1000x and expect a different answer.

Sorry to break it to you but your negativity is not that far off from how the people on Gamefaqs are.

If you try something new, I think your posts would have better reception.

Only replying to a few of these, but:

4.Even thought the game is incomplete giving making us pay for more content like dlc's (if the free content is only cutscenes this will make this point weigh more
It's already been confirmed that there's more to the free content than cutscenes, given that they've promised a free Carnival ticket to all players who download the January patch. Heck, they've already given out free stuff like the Nixperience band. And, from the sounds of it, the time-limited DLC-related hunts are intended to be available to non-Season Pass people, too.

6. Tabata saying hes delaying the game for no day 1 patch, yet there is a big one
This is outright untrue. Tabata said he was delaying the game because he didn't want players who couldn't download the patch to get stuck with the massively inferior experience shown in the gold master candidate footage, but that he'd still continue to patch the game after that for the people who could download the updates.

7. Still No PS4 pro update despite Tabata saying December.
Tabata said he was aiming for December instead of guaranteeing it. Presumably, it's harder to get the game running at 60fps than he thought, which seems entirely reasonable given the CPU limitations of the PS4 Pro.

EDIT: To return to the much more enjoyable topic of sales figures, I've been looking at the GAF thread re: the NPD results, and apparently NPD doesn't track digital sales. And if that's the case, FFXV's first month US sales could be over 2mil. =O

From my point of view this is probably the more pedantic of the reasons to call something incomplete, "the game has writing issues, therefore is incomplete and shouldn´t be released in that state", the game story clearly has a beggining, middle and end, whether the game explains well (or explain at all) certain stuff or uses and developes (or doesn´t) certain characters doesn´t make it any less complete than any other stories.

Oh my.

Financial results should prove quite interesting in March.
