The most important thing about the AC festival was Loqi. They need to honestly just rework the event and let us do everything save for the Assassin stuff because that event completely helped his character, which is shoddy at best in the main game. Make it a special quest in chapter 8 before Noct and the rest leave for Altissia.

They effectively took out story because of it, the exact opposite of what we want lmao

Please PLEASE SE dont waste more resources on shit like those events and focus on completing the second half of the game while adding cutscenes/events for the first half.
No more shitty festivals...

If the events do well to establish some more story while doing them as the AC festival actually did, I'm actually okay with them, though I definitely agree with you.

I mean Im happy for people that enjoy that, its not my case even I tried to get every single extra item in those festivals.
Doing that is wasting resources and I think they should be completely focus on the things I previously mentioned. They are now with the time behind them and for me its not a good new what storm put there.

I definitely want them to go full on the base game, but i also enjoyed the festivals.

looking forward for the FFXIV collab myself.

in MMOs generally you have these kind of events to hold interest and fill the void between big updates, their intent is the same here.

I feel kinda mixed on the collaborations. On one hand, some things like costumes and recipes are cool, on the other, they take resources, so I like and dislike collaborations equally, but I wouldn't mind a collaboration with FFXIV or Horizon Zero Dawn, as I loved the latter game, and would like a collaboration with that at least if they want to do more, but I would prefer their effort on the base game.

you know recently the dev team of Horizon Zero Dawn made a visit to SQ and they received a signed artbook as a gift:

its written "Let's do a collaboration!" at the side of the mechanical chocobo.

Im fine with collaboration stuff, but only on one condition: Stop making them behind time wall. According to Storm's link, i can say sayonara to AC stuff. *sadface*
the AC event was limited because it was licensed by Ubisoft so they don't have the rights to keep using it anytime they want i think... either way making it limited is another way to add urgency and make sure you play as soon as possible instead of leaving it for "later" (at a time you might not even remember or come back for it), same with how it works with MMOs.

its just a "dirty" way to keep you. <3

It just sucks because it told a better story for Loqi than the base game even did....which is absolutely ridiculous that we will probably never experience again unless they rework his stuff into a new quest in the base game.

All over
I always thought these collaborations came about through the Mutual Admiration Society. Plus I don't think the fans need to worry with BD2's resource allocation. It's a big team, and these, DLC, etc. allow other leaders to emerge and take ownership of a project. And if the team gets a chance to mature and enhance the engine, so much the better.

Opinion but why on earth do we need more of Loki of all generals, honestly? Of all the potential for more Nifilheim focus i'd rather that be given to Ravus, Verstael, Calligo, and Iedolas than him.

Even with the AC collab his background didn't affect the main plot nor the main characters enough, so personally speaking he's probably the least compelling character that i'd not want to see any more of.

One of my little wishes for the new updates is the option the use the Old Noctis suit for the entire game, without the king addons.

But didn't you just explain exactly why Loki needs screen time more than the other generals right now? He has a really nice design and I love what we got of him, but it wasn't enough. They should give him the same treatment that they gave Caligo. A few cutscenes made his whole character 10x better than it was before.

Guess I'm late to the party on this one, but I really don't agree with the additions of the Royal Edition. For me, the endgame was the strongest point of FFXV, and what really needed to be fixed was the early portions.

It's too soon to be all doom & gloom, hopefully the execution of the last chapter will pay off instead of diminishing the value of the 4 personal journey in Insomnia.

Because the new Niff is pretty dull. Instead of just focussing on Arden as the "main" baddy, I wish they spread it around. I wanted multiple encounters with multiple commander's, officer's, and soldier's(but they decided to make them all robots so whatevess). Loqi actually represents my feelings the most on this actually. The first time you fight him got me so pumped(the music especially) I was so excited to take on many more "actual people" in Niff but sadly we didn't really get anything after that fight besides Aranea(and even then we never got a rematch lol).

*sigh*
I still wish we had a proper rival...(*coughRAVUS*cough*)

I feel the opposite about Chapter 14, don't get me wrong, I understand, Chapter 14 was a little underwhelming for me and there wasn't enough content/stuff for me in the original Chapter 14, I don't think I'll go into detail about all of it, but I will say there wasn't enough bosses as one thing I'll say, but I loved the ending, and I'm happy they're expanding on Chapter 14, and they resonate with the stuff I felt it fell short, and End-Game chapters in video games are important to me as the story, but my expectations are low, and like I said, it's just my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, just putting my thoughts out there, and I do agree the first half needs some work, too, as well as the second half.
