I'm getting a save file transfer error when booting the standalone Comrades, dunno why.
When I boot Comrades from the main game it still seeminly boots but it tells me to download it now and takes me to PS Store, if I cancel out of that it takes me to the Comrades title screen where I can start as normal, if I press begin it starts it but when I did that it basically treated it as if I started a new game and asked me to create a new avatar, though my old Avatars were still saved there, but I cancelled out of that instead of starting a new game.

So to those who have finished the XIV collab, how do you guys summon Garuda/what is the summoning condition? How many new weapons and attires? Super thanks! Wish we can get the comrades new bosses in the main game and revamped Ifrit fight (Comrades's Ifrit boss) for the main game.. :)

p.s : still keeping my faith for summonable Bahamut tho'.
Garuda is summoned once per day, at least that's what her "Mark of the Vortex" key item states. I've gotten her pretty frequently though for the FFXIV Event rematches. Her design...is a choice.

There are four attires, one per Bro. Noctis- Miqo'te, Gladio- Roegadyn, Ignis- Elezen, Prompto- Hyur. They actually dont look terrible. better than the AC attire. Weapons there are 4 upgradable weapons, "Garuda's ___" then upgraded into "___ of the Vortex" version. Sword is Gaze, Greatsword is Pain, Daggers are Plumes, and Gun is Abandon. The designs are really great and they are OP.

I finished my lvl1 run recently and i've discovered a dish that makes you stronger if the enemy is above your level.
I think you're more powerfull this way than being lvl120. I will try it now against Garula.

Edit: i wrecked her in 2 minutes. Damn, this game is broken xD
She doesn't give you anything for defeating her at lvl 120.

I liked the collaboration, but the dialogue is unrealistic and goofy, which destroys the narrative of the main game due to this being canon.

Personally, the dialogue didn't bother me, but I understand how you feel about it. I really enjoyed getting the new Summon, which was one of the 24 Messengers who we saw in the collab, and the fact they opened one of the unused imperial bases for the collab, as well as the fact it's fully integrated into the main game. I also really like the new weapons, especially the one I just got a few minutes or so ago. I'd consider this a 'story update' and 'canon' in a way until further notice, but this was the best collab and probably my only favorite collab in this game for me over the others.

I thought the dialogue was hilarious -- it seemed like the guys thought the situation was so weird that they couldn't take it seriously. And under the circumstances... wouldn't you feel the same? XD

None of the FFXV characters acted OoC, and that's really all one can ask for under the circumstances. *shrugs* Being legit funny was a nice bonus.

Yeah... But you unlock this mission after getting Lamu. Which makes it really jarring to see the protagonists poo their pants discovering Titan and Lamu exists and experiencing their massive power. But minutes later they not feel a threat when they hear about the Empire getting a summon for themselves neither concieving that it may be true.

I like all the added content since launch, but i think the dialogue writting has take a sevear hit with the updates and Episodes.

Noctis saying "we will reunite again" in Chapter 12 sounds suicidal and makes no sense except for the ones that finished the game.
Ignis knowing what happens to Nyx for putting the ring when he wasn't there.
And a lot of the new cutscenes use redundant anime dialogue, that diminishes the facial expresions and movement made to depict the inner struggles of the characters.

In another note. I wonder if Episode Ardyn will address Pryna appearance in E. Prompto, Noctis dissapearance in this collab and Luna's voice in E.Ignis Verse 2.
I fear all this was going to be addressed in Episode Luna and we will never get it solved...

I think the Noctis' disappearing in the collab will lead to XIV's side of the collaboration, and I don't think Pryna will appear in Episode: Ardyn.

I don't know... It doesn't seem that unreasonable for the guys not to take the threat seriously. Like, imagine if an Overwatch character showed up and told an FBI agent that someone was building a mini-nuke in a compound previously used by a terror cell. Sure, the threat would be serious if real... but would the agent really believe the Overwatch character?

Given that Noct doesn't say when he and Luna will meet again... isn't that pretty normal language for someone who's confident in the existence of the afterlife?

Like, here's part of one of the last prayers at a Catholic funeral:

"There is sadness in parting, but we take comfort in the hope that one day we shall see N. again and enjoy his (her) friendship."

Noct promising Luna that he'll see her again isn't suicidal or prescient; it just shows that he truly believes in a personal afterlife.

Ignis knowing what happens to Nyx for putting the ring when he wasn't there.
This, I agree is weird. Nyx's fate shouldn't have made it past the imperial media filter. It would have made more sense if Ravus mentioned it when he and Ignis were talking.

And a lot of the new cutscenes use redundant anime dialogue, that diminishes the facial expresions and movement made to depict the inner struggles of the characters.
Any particular examples, outside of the collaborations with properties that are themselves more anime?
